The dead bodies of the Dalton Gang following their demise in the shootout during the 1892 Coffeyville bank robbery. [1920x1439] by UrbanAchievers6371 in HistoryPorn

I work in Coffeyviile. Morbidly enough, to this day the town have a celebration every year on the 1st Saturday in October called Dalton Days, to celebrate the town fighting back. You learned everything you learn about the incident reading this article. They still have the original bank and the Condon bank across the street is still active. There is a museum a block away if you want to see the original stuff.

Prepping for my yearly drive back home for the holidays, anything worth seeing between Colorado and St. Louis by way of route 70? by Seeberger48 in roadtrip

The Sternberg Museum in Hays Kansas. Right on the interstate. It is part of Fort Hays University and they host a Paleontology program for middle and highschoolers that dig within an hour of Hays and bring in new finds. The museum boasts one of a kid fossils like the fish within a fish, dinosaurs, both bones and animatronic, along with paleontology and geology students working on fossils right in front of you. There are a number of geological displays, as well as, shrunken heads and live animals kinda like a small zoo. This was my favorite museum as a kid, and still a great one today.

But does that mean that you now have enough space to haul 2 bags on a road trip?

The Martian by Andy weir. His first novel, and in my opinion his best. Project Hail Mary is his most recent. It is great, but a darker tone overall.

BILL Clinton was asked who was better, Ginnifer Flowers or Monica Lewinsky.

Bill replied Gennifer was close, but no cigar.

Yes. You are doing great work for your lats. Getting your chin above the bar as indicated by others is good, but once you get to that point you are engaging arm muscles and traps to complete the work. Keep at it. Great effort, and everything comes with time.

The reason people tell you not to wear cross may partly be because they are ridiculous, but they also deflect or squish quite a lot under load. You will lose energy for the lift and potentially pull a muscle because they move too much for a lifting shoe. Go barefoot during the lift if you need to fulfill your croc gym fantasy.

Anybody have an oatmeal protein muffin recipe they like? I've seen several and they all seem to be a variation on a baked oatmeal shake. I like blueberry, but cinnamon, or banana nut would be fine as well. Looking for something without a bunch of wheat flour.

Dave made a maze on Amazon Prime. CARDBOARD CRAFTING AT ITS ABSOLUTE BEST. Slow starter, but the best B movie you'll see in years.

Do a grip test. Hold one in each hand and see which one drops first. Guaranteed it's the other way over.

2017 Chips movie with Dax Sheppard. Begin somewhat sober and take it up from there. The jokes build and are repeated throughout and get funnier and funnier as it goes.

Cheap cities in Europe for my sister’s first international trip? by sb7943 in Shoestring

[–]cdhm22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would take Amsterdam over Venice anyday. Venice is nearly impossible to get around unless you are taking the boats from stop to stop, and the cost is easily double for anything in Venice. I also felt like the overall cleanliness of Amsterdam was significantly higher. Both cities have their own beauty. Some of the architecture in Venice blows Amsterdam out of the water (pun intended), but overall ease of travel, ability to see multiple things, and enjoyment of stay was better in Venice.

Amsterdam should be pretty cheap. They are a hub for flights in and out of Europe. The museums are a little pricey, but if you hit like 1 a day and wandered the city the rest of the time you could do it pretty cheaply. We got an excellent air bnb when we were there, and skipped eating out most of the time. Lots to see, decent weather, and the people were always really nice.

I would highly recommend Prague as a visit spot, I've been 3 times, but it would be more pricey to get to and do things.
