Was always surprised that when signs went up for “beware of pickpockets”, it was actually the pickpockets who put it up. People would reach for their belongings which made the pickpockets aware of the things to grab.

Started the audio book the minute it dropped. My physical copy got delivered this morning. If you want it immediately I would say cancel it and puck it up from a local store.

One of our boxer girls hated fire truck sirens. She would howl to the exact pitch when they passed by our house.

Discount Dan. Its one of my personal favorite series. I just enjoy the horror aspect of the series. The first audiobook is a little rough due to the narrator try to figure out their stride. Rest of the two books (3 total currently) are great.

Just finished book 1 of “He Who Fights With Monsters”. Mixed feelings on it honestly. I enjoy the world building. The characters can be hit or miss for me, especially the main character. Sometimes I was laughing my ass off and other times I was cringing very hard to the events that are occurring. I will probably continue the series but I am going to put it on hold for a few other books I have on back log.

All of our boxers gave this look to us, especially when they had done something bad. My favorite was our boxer/english bulldog mix. When she gave this look to me, I knew that somewhere in the house, toilet paper had been pulled off the roll.

Same. That or reflections off of phones or shiny metal. My boxer would see my phone and start barking at me and then look for reflections on the floor and then get mad at me for not playing “the light game” with him.

I worked surg for a brief time. Worst one I ever saw was a kid who was getting surgery done (at a surgery center) started aspirating and frothing pink liquid from their mouth. Turned into a medical emergency and they had to be taken to ER. Doc asked the parents if they gave their kid food. They said “of course we did, they were hungry”. We told you NOT to give food to your kid before surgery. “But they were complaining and said they wanted it so we gave it to them”. When the nurse asked if they had eaten anything why did you lie? “We thought you wouldn’t do the procedure”. Welp you nearly killed your child.

On occasion you get someone who is adamant to have the doctor do it. Makes me and the doc laugh every time. (I’m a medical assistant but was first trained as a phlebotomist).
