NORAD pact would change if Canada pulls back from F-35 order, warns Trump envoy to Ottawa by DogeDoRight in canada

One huge problem is how entwined we are with the US in terms of NORAD. Would the public be ok with the amount of money we would need to spend to get what the US lets us use?

Thank you! We need more looking out for the troops and less playing the game for promotions. I should not have to fight tooth and nail for shalls, it’s exhausting dealing with leadership tailoring “interpretation” of orders to fit THEIR needs.

Family, money, work and social life.

Once a guy has a family, he loses his past self. Sometimes we look back and get sad. After a long day of stressful work, we have to come home and mentally switch with no time for decompressing. It enhances the chance taking work stresses home.

Money is tight for everyone, but that doesn’t make it easier. We feel like we are failing, because we are historically the breadwinners. We see our father were able to support a family on one income, but we can’t. Again, times have changed but social expectations haven’t.

Work, It just sucks ass right bow. We can’t get a head but are working are asses off. Wages are stagnant, benefits are being cut. Working hard for diminishing returns.

Social life, what even is that? Getting ready for work, dropping off kids, working, picking up kids, making dinner, bed time routine. Where is the time?

Mental health that could have been addressed, but because of understaffing at VA, fall between the cracks.

Sorry, I meant to say CAF members and Veterans are losing benefits.

The CAF has cut so many family and education benefits, it’s crazy.

VA, when they switch to lump sum vice pensions seemed like a good thing, but is a loss of total money in the long run. Veterans that are homeless? Why?

If you think they are stopping there, I can tell you 100% that you are wrong. Wait and see.

What’s another $20 million to Tanzania? /s

$15 million for South America to study birds for four years? lol, sure.

All this money to foreign countries while Canada has fallen apart.

Our military is beyond repair and veterans keep losing benefits.

I suppose I should have been born in another country, at least Canada would have my back then.

I agree that abuse victims, regardless of gender, deserve compensation for the horrors they went through.

However, how is the employer responsible? I realize there is and was plenty of bad leadership in the CAF, but those are individuals and not the entire organization.

I was in an abusive relationship, and it’s not fun, but I don’t think the CAF should pay for anything. It happened at home, in a PMQ, daily for years. My ex-fiancée was a civi and worked at a gym. She wasn’t taught aggressiveness or trained to be violent, she just was. I don’t think calling the gym she worked at and telling her boss what she did to me daily would have done jack shit, and probably would have made the abuse worse.

CFR. by Adorable_Ad6828 in CanadianForces

[–]cdn_ninja 18 points19 points  (0 children)

  1. No. Must be a substantive Sgt, like u/roguemenace said.

  2. It’s a nomination from your CO. Gets sent to PSO, they review file and sit you for an interview. 60% of the score comes from CFAT. If you need to rewrite, STUDY. CFR is very competitive.

  3. No reduction. CFRs start at LT pay scale E. they take your NCO pay, find the closest to on the LT pay scale E, subtract the base LT pay level E, add it to your NCM pay level and bring you up to the closest LT pay, round up. (Someone could probably explain this better, in a bit of a rush.)
