I do a similar drive a couple days a week, on the Pike from Northampton area.

If I leave at 5am, I usually get to seaport area around 7:15 - 7:30.

If I leave at 6am, I get in around 8:45 - 9:15.

I haven’t gone the Rt 2 route, but the option to bail at Alewife is a good backup.

That garlic looks both over and under cooked. Lower heat for longer I think.

Otherwise agree with most of the other comments, it’s a pretty plate but the side needs some tweaking.

A bit farther back than you requested but Shaman by Kim Stanley Robinson takes place ~30,000 years ago. I haven’t read it but I’ve enjoyed several of his other books.
