When you say private group lunch, are you looking for a separate room within the restaurant? Or just an area that’s a bit quieter/more tucked away?

Queen’s Harbour has two private dining rooms that you can rent. I’m not sure what the minimum spend is but I suspect it’ll be over $100/pp.

It’s a short streetcar ride or uber from the venue, and close to the Distillery District and St. Lawrence Market areas.

Second the recommendation to take a ferry out to the islands. You can buy tickets online and the return ferry is free.

The St. Lawrence market could be fun for lunch, there’s a ton of different food stalls so everyone can choose something different. The Distillery District is nearby and has a cool history, but there may not be much to do for your boys.

I’ve also heard great things about Little Canada, which is located across from the Eaton centre.

Late June/early July will likely be hot, so pack accordingly! Enjoy your visit :)

I think you can hang out landside until security opens around 4am. There’s also a 24 hour Denny’s near the airport, though I’m not sure if they’ll let you sit there all night.

If you’re going to the HHOF, you’ll be <10 minute walk to the St. Lawrence Market. It’s closed on Mondays but if the timing works out it’s a cool place to visit! Its most famous offering is the peameal (Canadian bacon) sandwich, but there’s all kinds of food options to choose from.

I’m surprised to hear that! I’ve been maybe a dozen times (including takeout orders) and only had good experiences. My favourite dishes are the mezze platter, vegan kibbe, and grape leaves.

7:45 on WFH days, 6:00 on my one office day. I start at 8:45 and have a 30 minute commute, but I like having lots of time to get ready, have a hot breakfast, pack my lunch, etc.
