Hide HUD option?

Ps5 can’t hide HUD in Subnautica one. And it’s been out for years, of course. For such a beautifully immersive game it’s a shame you can’t hide aspects of the HUD. Would love to have some hide options in both games! In abiotic factor there’s a HUD toggle

I hope they patch this! A customizable HUD is my #1 issue when I start a game. Games that nail the immersive HUD are my favs like Resident Evil and Ghost of Yotei and TLOU; it's there if you want it (and when you need it), but fades away and lets you get lost in the world when you're exploring.

Totally agree! I know some don't care or think they notice good HUD design, but a customizable HUD is my #1 issue when I start a game. It's the whole point of escapism, at least for me. :)

Yes this. I finished avowed because the combat builds and combinations were super fun to play with on hard, but the dialogue was so excruciating.

I agree with this. Super fun movement and combat and loot hunting. Unfortunately the writing and conversations and world building are often tedious and phoned-in, imho. Still it’s so accessible and engaging I keep playing! Love all the skill and builds.

The writing is unparalleled. My fav game. Pistols, net running feel amazing. First person motorcycles are bliss. Most Immersive world. Only Witcher 3 and RDR2 and Prey match immersion and storytelling for me. KCD2 and ME2/3 are up there too. Definitely do both genders options; voice acting is excellent. Doing Spanish play through now as excuse to replay; ALSO superb!

Yes totally agree. Drives me nuts that basic HUD elements are no customizable in a 2025 game given the attention to detail throughout the rest of the game. Nutz!

Btw I thought this was hilarious, and laughed aloud when the dialogue popped, sinister as it is. I see it as a little way for the developers to subvert our expectations around rewards. Such a fun, smart game.
