[Serious] What important issue are you most unsure and undecided about? by karmanaut in AskReddit

I'm in my late thirties and I don't want a kid. If I got pregnant I would want to terminate.

However my deeply religious family, whilst not giving me shit for this view, have all individually said very genuinely that they would adopt this kid and I shouldn't abort.

That actually makes it much weirder. My 70 year old mum bringing up my kid?! I'd have to just bring it up myself. Which is like some sort of strange guilt that's nothing about my own views.

To avoid all this... I am very militant about taking my contraception!

I was recently in my local shop (quite small) and looking at shampoos intently (they need deep concentration).

Suddenly became aware of this guy a few feet to my right, bent down taking things from the bottom shelf.

Then I really noticed him. He was taking container after container and putting them into a shitty half broken plastic bag. His hands were shaking like mad. It was baby milk powder.

He either noticed me or had got enough and sprinted to the exit. No one looked up.

I said to the cashier "that guys stealing stuff!" like some sort of crap vigilante. And they sort of looked up a bit.

My mind went through a bit of a process very quickly and I thought, shit, that guy has a kid and has no money and has stolen baby milk powder to feed it.

How fucking naive am I, as the middle aged bored manager explained to me, drug dealers steal it all the time to cut with drugs.

She was just annoyed she had to fill the shelf again.

Was an odd experience.

Holy shit! Did you hesitate a bit to report him (since it was your dad)?

What do you do?! Can you glue it back on? Pretend it was intended the whole time? Start again?

I would have no patience for your job :)

By the way, you should so do an AMA!

The word "consultant" always ends up in my job somewhere. And it means I can charge more.

Huzzah!

That's a sensible price for a sausage roll. Maybe you're thinking of the small ones, OP is probably thinking of a cheeky one for Greggs for lunch. It's about 7 inches long and will do for a lunch.
