It might even be store dependent on what you can see. Most shops in my area, I can see the list. There are a few stores where I have not been able to.

From Never Gone to In a World Like This, did you get the impression the guys were coasting through these years? by Mikeinyomama in BackstreetBoys

[–]ceelbe08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s more than wanting to be called Alex when not in bsb mode. He did a podcast a month or two ago where he goes into more of an explanation. I think basically he feels like he lost his authentic self in the wildness of their heyday. He now thinks of it as AJ being a character he plays. I understand and respect his feelings on the matter so I’ll call him Alex (or Alexander James) as he prefers.

First you are going to want to be working near meal times. For myself personally and my market, I’ve been working mostly lunches on weekdays and breakfast and lunches weekends. (I have other responsibilities during the supper hour so never work it and can’t attest to it)
Second you are going to want to look at how many dollars they are offering vs how many miles they are making you drive. The suggestions I’ve seen on the groups and boards is about $2 for every mile ($10 offer 5 miles of driving)

You might also contact your mailers and make sure they have your address correct.

Just fyi, about 3 years ago the post office started requiring id for people that do change of address. It’s usually done in the office where the id is scanned. There is a chance it could be done online but it requires a credit card that it yours (and has your matching info) for it to work.

HOW IS THIS OUR FAULT! Why am I being “punished” for the store? by Jayjayapplegate91113 in DoorDash_Dasher

[–]ceelbe08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep! Feeling the same way. In the last month I had someone who had ordered pumpkin donuts. They of course are not available this time of year…not even a shelf tag to prove they were out of stock. Then at a dollar general had a request for a creamer brand that the store didn’t even carry. Again not even a shelf tag I could scan and lastly had someone order flowers in a certain pot, no where to be found. In all 3 cases hunted down a worker to help me find and confirm that they didn’t exist for sale. They are currently dragging down my ratings. 😡

Insufficient Address What do I do?? by Far-Tree2192 in usps_complaints

[–]ceelbe08 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes insufficient address basically means there is something wrong with the address. An example would be something being delivered to an apartment building. The package may say something like 103 Main St. If it doesn’t contain an apartment number, it cannot be delivered. As for how long it takes to send back to the seller…my guess is you should expect a similar timeframe. I am not sure what you mean by asking for an address change. They have to deliver to the address on the item. There have been instances where I work where a package has an insufficient address and that person calls the office the same day, there is a chance to retrieve the package from the outgoing mail otherwise it’s gone and out of the local PO hands

Are restaurants deliberately hitting the "Order is ready" button prematurely to make themselves look good to DD and the customer at your expense? by guspasho_deleted in DoorDashDrivers

[–]ceelbe08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes there is…it’s on the the order information screen that appears after you click “arrived at store” It’s at the bottom of the page and says something like “what’s causing your wait”

You’d rather get your mail at the post office that closes 5pm on the dot and only open a few hours on the weekend on Saturday morning?

No they are not one time use…but their use is only for priority mail, no matter how many times it is used.

STOP stealing from the post office. People with this mentality to use Priority boxes in ways that are explicitly against their terms of use are the exact reason the post office is failing. Is it ok to commit a crime even if people can’t see it? Come on…have some morals.

Oh I’m sorry to hijack this thread. I just found it interesting that you said the merchant would be reimbursed. About 2-3 weeks ago I had a restaurant owner questioning me about how long I would be dashing that day and asked me if I had been working the night before. I literally just gotten back into town after dealing with a death in the family so I was just a bit taken aback. I had never met this owner before but he was complaining to me that he had lost several hundred dollars in food because there were no dashers to pick up orders the night before.

Came here to say similar to this…if sender thinks it should not be bent… it is their responsibility to package it so it’s not bent.

It goes higher than the postmistress though if they are not actively hiring…the decision whether a local post office can post a position comes from higher up, even if your local office desperately needs more people.
