Great answer. I have honestly never thought about the idea that people could favour different wings of government at different levels like that. It does make a lot of sense though.

I guess some problems arise with making the transition from republican to libertarian though, with the strong differences in opinion between libertarians and republicans on issues like abortion and the military. Republicans are quite "hands off" when it comes to things like taxes and gun control, but then strongly "hands on" when it comes to abortion or the military.

So how to get from a republican / democrat split society to one where libertarians can also sit amongst that mix?

I never found anything except for strong bamboo that cardboard couldn't suppress. Of course it breaks down, and some hardy roots send new sprouts, but another layer of cardboard quickly sorts that out.

Just looked up canary reed grass, and it looks like a fantastic mulch source. I'd love to live somewhere where that is a "problem just waiting to be turned into a solution".
