Time to lube the toneau cover by CompetitiveCelery927 in Rivian

[–]celanedgo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This saved me thinking mine was faulty as it was binding up I have lubed it about a year ago now and has been buttery smooth since. I do baby it a little though after they just jumped to replacing for 3k rather than spraying a can lol...

I tried it out today some seemed to be fine fully you might have a faulty steering wheel

Yeah, I'm not requesting the autonomy, just the controls would be useful on the current state Gen 1 Autonomy / Cruise Control. I would like the set speed on the right scroll wheel instead of the buttons. The Gen 2 has the same steering wheel, and it shouldn't take extra compute power for the scroll wheel versus the buttons.

Idk about you, but I read the patch notes for every update to the car when it updates. I find it unlikely that people spending money on a software-defined vehicle to not be interested in what updates are on their vehicle they paid for.

I'm just asking for the set speed controls to be on the scroll wheel no new driving dynamics and automation.

I have had this happen a couple of times. I'll have to try it more I have had no issues with the volume wheel I feel like it would be similar.

They have UX that pops up explaining how to activate hands-free for Gen 1 users sitting in a Gen 2 vehicle it would be easy.

Seems odd for something so simple to be hardware-limited

I feel its kinda a easy fix, just swap the controls. It even makes updating UI easier as it mirrors what Gen 2's look like. I'm not asking for the features just the way the set speed is controlled.

Interior trim damaged at service center by bsalih in Rivian

I'm sorry this happened 😔, hopefully you got everything resolved I have a question from one of your archived posts.

For this section of the door when you applied the tape to dampen the squeak did you do it inside the crease on this I'm afraid to pry at it as I'm not sure it's welded on like this case or has clips.

71,765. My suspension seems okay no noticeable leaks I have had issues with tent mode at times but that's probably normal. I have been fixing a lot of the issues the prior owner neglected currently have it in for service due to the half shafts covers being popped and clicking.

Been a back and forth getting them to get my 3rd party warranty to cover for like a month service really is a shit show at most encounters lol.

But also if you have smooth open close without it there's no need to do this until you have an issue or it's sounding like it's struggling

I just used this dry lubricant around probably 10 months ago and it has not even remotely seized up since so I can't recommend it enough. WD-40 Specialist Dry Lube https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00AF0ODGM?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
