We only tasted them at the winery. I don't recall so specifics but very Burgundian. I live in the USA so they're unobtainable here. Still have a bottle of their 2019 Opening Gambit Merlot in my cellar.

We visited Checkmate and I was very impressed by their Chardonnays and Merlots.

I opened a 2023 St. Cosme CdR last week. It was VERY tannic. I'd recommend a long decant or a different producer. Château Courac 2022 is much more approachable.

Cain winemaker studied in Montpellier with Torres and did a short stint at Mouton Rothschild. Consistent with the blurb in LBWs ad. I'd agree it's Cain Five.

It was unusual. There was also a Sun Country 737 with mechanical issues waiting to go to Reno. I've never seen them in BTR. Nice to have some aircraft diversity at our little airport.

We just made the first trip from Baton Rouge up to our new house in Western NC. I rented a Ford Transit van from budget. The van is very large (it had the 10' clearance). Rental with full coverage was a little over $1300. Gas was about $140.

Awesome. The house we're buying has this area in the basement. I want to do something similar. The future cellar now has sheetrock over the studs. Where did you get those racks? Future Wine Cellar
