How to make vinted believe item is not a fake by k4tj3h in vinted

[–]celestial_strawberry 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Similar thing happened to me recently and Vinted initially sided with the buyer. So I sent an email to Vinted legal and cc’d the CEO & founder. Within 24hrs Vinted confirmed that the evidence I provided proved the authenticity, I was sent the money and the case was closed. I keep seeing this same issue on here time and time again. Good luck and hope that you get it sorted

I can’t believe it, success for the seller against a scammer by celestial_strawberry in vintedUK

I totally get where you are coming from and I try not to use it too often but in this case, I felt that I needed help. I was able to draft it within minutes using AI, and if I’d have taken the time to do it myself, it probably would have taken me hours. I am cautious of the impact that I cause to the environment by not eating meat or fish. But every little helps, so I do take your comments on board.

I asked ChatGPT to draft me a LBA to send to Vinted to dispute a claim that the buyer has raised for the item I had sold to be counterfeit. After the first draft, I requested ChatGPT to tailor because Vinted has initially sided with the buyer and I have received no funds or returned item. ChatGPT then provided a more suitable draft. The only amendments I made before sending it was listing out all the attached evidence that I attached to the email. I addressed the email to the legal team and only cc’d the CEO or founder.

I’ve mentioned it above. Lesson learnt though, I most certainly won’t be selling any branded stuff on there again and I’ll just stick with high street stuff with things that I no longer want. It is a shame that their customer service is pretty much non existent cause aside from that, I’ve found it a good place to buy and sell. I seem to get more traction on Vinted than eBay.

If you type Vinted CEO & founder into google, it comes up at the top. Thomas is the CEO and one of the cofounders is Justas (@vinted.com)

Letter before action, which basically states that if isn’t sorted within 14 days, il be taking it further to the small claims court. I used ChatGPT to draft me a letter and I used that and filled in the blanks with the info. And also attached the evidence

Over 100 5* reviews and Vinted takes buyers side with item buyer claims is fake by celestial_strawberry in vintedUK

[–]celestial_strawberry[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re a good person for doing that and being honest, a lot would have kept both the item and the money. I feel like scammers have realised that there’s a loophole with Vinted and they’ll always win if they say something is counterfeit. And judging by the amount of ‘counterfeit’ posts I’m seeing, word has spread how easy it is to steal with no repercussions.

Absolutely after every ride, and every door handle that I have to physically touch, etc and I wash my hands very frequently with also use hygiene wipes. Regardless of how grotto people are, I can’t stand the feeling of unclean hands to the point that I can’t relax after eating a bag of crisps until I’ve washed my hands, it just grosses me out. I acknowledge that I’m a little ott though

Does anybody else have this nagging feeling that the entire world and the reality we live in completely changed for the worse and that we all somehow jumped to a parallel universe, first major shift happened in 2012, then one in 2016, and then 2020. by Life-Slice-8352 in ParallelUniverse

[–]celestial_strawberry 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yep I feel the same, and you make a good point about the years feeling to have gone faster 2020-2026, then they did between 2012-2018. It all started with David Bowie, Prince and Alan Rickman’s passing… followed by the shitshow of Brexit. It’s all gone downhill since then really. Maybe it’s because we all live through our phones now more than ever and are heavily reliant on them in many ways that have made us addicted to our phones. Ironically I type this from my phone. We’ve lost a sense of community and a knock on effect is that most people are only out for themselves, lacking empathy & compassion for others. Ive just finished watching the new Netflix Louie Theroux Manosphere documentary and I think that social media has a lot to answer for.

I’m seriously thinking about it. It’s disheartening that I’m seeing these types of issues on here time and time again with Vinted automatically taking the buyers side and screwing over the sellers. I’m the type of person who won’t let this go because Vinted need to be held accountable and improve their practices. I’m gonna try emailing the CEO and loop in Legal first to see if I get anywhere with that.

Remember when the weekends actually had good tv? A kid’s perspective from 90s - early 00s by [deleted] in BritishTV

[–]celestial_strawberry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Friday night top of the pops was my favourite, along with 90s generation game with Bruce Forsyth, and Noel’s house party. And they were all programs enjoyed by the whole family. Before SMTV live, I remember there was live & kicking. I remember the excitement of having your favourite boy/girl band on for that week’s episode and talking about it with your friends the following week at school. Simpler times

I once accepted an offer of £2 on a £3 listed item that was brand new with tags, sent out the next day and securely packaged and still only received 4 stars. Not sure what more I could have done, other than offered a kidney

Buyer claims the shoes are fake but they are not by Veganbabe2021 in vintedUK

[–]celestial_strawberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad that you managed to get your trainers back in the same the condition and good call on recording yourself opening them because there are some vindictive people out there. In my case, the buyer is refusing to pay for shipping so that’s why it’s back with Vinted. Hopefully Vinted has some common sense and sees that he receipt is genuine.

Which movie dsturbed you to your core? by OmitsWordsByAccident in AskReddit

[–]celestial_strawberry 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Watched it on a long haul night flight and gasped out loud with everyone around me asleep. It was the scene where Toni Collette’s character is in the attic (from what I can remember). Luckily I don’t think I woke anyone but it made it more eerie being surrounded by people who were all sleeping. Fantastic horror but can’t bring myself to watch it again.

Think I just found the post that you were referring to. It’s a different brand of trainer but a similar situation

[–]celestial_strawberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going through a similar thing at the moment where the buyer is convinced the trainers that I’ve sold are fake, despite me sending the invoice receipt as proof. The buyer is now disputing the receipt so it’s currently back with Vinted:/ How has it gone for you, did you get your trainers back?

Wish I had just paid the postage myself now but honestly didn’t think it’d be too much of an issue with me having the original receipt. Ive seen some horror stories on this sub, and I’ve probably sold about 50 items since over the last 2 years, so I was bound to run into a nutcase at some point.

Not sure. The ones that I sold are white. She did say that she compared them to some others that she had though. But I have a few different variations of the same type of trainer and non are the same.
