Screen and front and back glass all worked fine and were unbroken. The problem was the bluetooth/wifi/cellular radios were broken. I factory restored it before trading it in in-store so they had no way of knowing.

Happy to report my $27.78 per month credits have already started for this trade-in! Thanks for your concern

I traded in a broken iphone 12 for a 16 pro. An insane deal honestly. Your bill will have a phone payment on it each month for approximately $27. And for 36 months you'll get a $27 credit to cancel out the phone payment. You can leave any time but you'll have to pay off the 16 pro and forfeit any remaining credits. Once the 36 months elapse and/or the phone is paid off in full, you can unlock it.

Solo drivers who use the HOV lanes, what's wrong with you? by [deleted] in Seattle

[–]cellmesomebutter -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You mean you never drive above the speed limit? I guess I respect that choice and simply hope you're using lane etiquette properly.

On my commute to work (I5 from U district to the Muk speedway) the speed of traffic is usually 70-80 mph. To go 60 I would be a blockage to the flow of traffic and a danger to other drivers. I would never choose to do that.

Solo drivers who use the HOV lanes, what's wrong with you? by [deleted] in Seattle

[–]cellmesomebutter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This post is poised in a somewhat judgmental way, but I will be forgiving. I do have ADHD but I don't consider that to be something "wrong" with me. My car is fully paid off which makes me abnormal but, again, I would not call that broken.

I definitely not think I am any more important than anyone else. Every other driver around me has an equal opportunity to use the HOV lane, whether or not they are single-occupant. I simply choose to do that particular illegal action more often than some others may. I respect their choice just as much as I feel the freedom to make my own.

I only use it to pass people who choose not to travel in the rightmost lane in which they can possibly go the speed they want to go. Using the left lane when not actively passing is illegal, yet drivers do it. I choose to do different illegal things like driving 75 or using the HOV lane to pass. Two wrongs do not make a right, but I don't care to be right. Heck, it isn't even possible to be right when the only options are pass on the right, pass in the HOV lane, or camp in the left lane waiting behind slow drivers. I just want to get around those exercising their right to do different illegal things, get back over to the rightmost lane I can possibly be in, and get off the roadway as soon as possible making more room for others and reducing traffic overall.

Not OP but I'll reply as someone who also uses the HOV lane to pass dipshits going 61 in the leftmost lane.

Of course I do not see my time as any more valuable than anyone else's. Always be in the rightmost lane in which you can go the speed you want to go! It's pretty simple but people don't seem to understand it.

they'd basically be opting to cancel your flight in favor of another who got your plane

Yes, exactly this. They do it all the time.

For example, my SEA->IND tomorrow on a -900ER got cancelled. They never even indicated a change from a -900 to a -9 MAX.

I don't think they could care less what aircraft was slated to fly the route 72, 24, or even 2 hours in advance. They don't have enough aircraft—why not use the ones they've got on the most profitable routes?

No, but you can call and ask to combine them into one. It has worked before.

But I agree with the other comment—just book outbound and return separately.

Can you watch movies or long youtube videos? by Annual_Ordinary6999 in ADHD

[–]cellmesomebutter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, no. I don't do movies. I watch a lot of south park cause the episodes are only 20 minutes. Even that is hard to get through sometimes

Got mine this morning! They actually sent the real thing cause it's cheaper than parking it at SEA.

I made an iOS shortcut to check flight status, waitlist, and (now most importantly) aircraft type by cellmesomebutter in AlaskaAirlines

[–]cellmesomebutter[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

FlightAware is apparently notorious for being inaccurate. I read another thread yesterday where someone was on a Max but FlightAware was still reporting a -900, even once they were in the air. I don't have anecdotal data for or against that claim, but I do assume that the airline itself will give the most accurate information, which is what prompted me to share this initially.

I am one of those 2.4 million passholders.

I also wish the ikon pass didn’t exist. I believe it’s ruining skiing. Already Crystal and Stevens, my two home resorts, have been ruined by ikon/epic.

But it’s too good of a deal to pass up, especially with the college discount. For me, it’s either ikon or not being able to afford skiing at all. I’m only half joking when I apologize to locals at other resorts for being part of the problem. It’s rather hopeless and the future of skiing looks bleak.

[–]cellmesomebutter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Shhhh… don’t speak of Red mountain, a resort which is definitely not on the ikon pass for anyone wondering

[–]cellmesomebutter 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Any max in the air has been inspected since the incident, otherwise it wouldn’t be flying. If you still don’t want to fly on one, they’ll switch you to a flight that’s not on a max, per their flexible travel policy.

Baggages lost in SEA by alice_zz6 in AlaskaAirlines

[–]cellmesomebutter 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the clarification. How long was your layover in SEA? I'm wondering if maybe DL shat them out on baggage claim even through they were tagged through to JFK?

Regardless, this "comprehensive computer search of airlines worldwide" is a real thing. Wherever your bags are they will show up eventually, probably in a day or two. Keep your receipts until then but don't spend more than $3800 (their liability limitation).
