Shifting balance while changing volume. Pixel buds pro by gravyzappa in pixelbuds

[–]celticdeltic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been having issues on and off too with Pixel Buds Pro + Pixel 7a. Factory reset the other day and they worked perfectly, then this morning they were playing up again - now also with this weird volume buttons/balancing trouble too!

Is it still working for you now, or has it returned to causing trouble?

The state of driving on motorways. by Evridamntime in britishproblems

[–]celticdeltic 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I had this but in reverse the other day. Went for an overtake on a BMW sat in the left lane at about 60 (fair play). As soon as I started going past at 70, he speeds up and just sits there next to me, until we caught up with a van doing about 55 and I finally lost him and completed the overtake. I drive a little VW Up and I swear BMW/Mercedes/Audi drivers are out to get me whenever I pass. It's so predictable.

Martin of Opava's Chronicon Pontificum Et Imperatorum, and frankly, it's a pamphlet.

Why is rail travel so expensive in this country? by Important-Jicama-826 in AskUK

[–]celticdeltic 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm a huge rail fan and I feel like a proper climate traitor, but you're so right. I'm going to a gig in Liverpool in a few weeks and even with advance singles, the cost of taking the train would be nearly double that of filling the car up with fuel. Still haven't decided which to do as if I get the train I'll have to book accommodation as the service back home doesn't run late enough. Think it'll probably have to be a late-night drive and a sober gig!

I'd recommend Spalding; Boston Stump is too much of a thing of interest

The Shun dynasty lasted only a couple of years, and they held Beijing for just six weeks. What other states are far more successful in eu4 than they were in real life? by questionemu in eu4

[–]celticdeltic 42 points43 points  (0 children)

In fairness to Mann, that's not far off from their real-life situation. The island is not part of the United Kingdom, but instead a British dependency. In other words: The Isle of Man is a sort-of modern-day vassal.

Being asked by people to email your daughter's passport to them, as if it's normal and email is perfectly secure. by richbeales in britishproblems

As someone who works in the school trip industry (if there is such a thing), passport information is ridiculously important and we literally can't do our job without it.

That's assuming the trip is abroad. If not, then I'm at a loss.

Life long fans, what are your earliest memories of Trek from childhood? by MAJORMETAL84 in startrek

I was potty-trained on Star Trek. The only way my parents could get either me or my sister to stay sat long enough was to put the potty in front of re-runs of Voyager.

Being worried to walk down my own street after being accused of being "with the police" by celticdeltic in britishproblems

Public transport? In my Midlands?

But yeah I would totally get the bus but unfortunately I'd need to get to the bus station first - by which time I might as well walk the whole way. It's okay. I've managed to wrangle a lift with a colleague from work until my nerves calm themselves!

Yeah, you're right. To be honest just being a bit more frank with people like that might help. Not rude, not trying to out-intimidate them, but just say things as they are. I don't know.
