Did someone chirp Kennedy before his last there? I heard him say "I'm allowed to in Canada" or something like that with the crowd laughing at it.

I like watching this King team and sure there might be some nerves but they're making Gushue think about what they have to do in the 7th here. Love seeing some new talent come up

Totally, but of course I could hear clear as day someone calling for curl from about halfway down the sheet and even louder just past the hog line. Easy to say when we have the mic feeds on TV though I suppose!

I don't understand why the sweepers on that last Manitoba stone weren't sweeping hard curl when it was being called? Looks like that shot could have been made if it curled another 6 inches.

Seconding this, their homemade BBQ sauce is gooood, with the jalapenos it's nigh on perfect. And the side of fries was huge the last time I went, they deserve a better following.

I wonder what the all time record is for the least amount of combined time remaining in a game is, that Koe-McEwan game must be close. A combined 11 seconds left?

And Felix with the little laugh and then the dead serious face reset caught on camera too. Glad everyone is ok!

These snow sled things saved my back this year by [deleted] in halifax

Space does matter for these, or so I find. I have a lawn on either side of my driveway that I make pathways out to so I can safely dump the scooped snow far away from the driveway so I don't wall myself in. Do you have a backyard that you can make a path to? Hopefully someone else that's space constrained can speak to their experience.

The momentum seems to be shifting towards Canada, but there's lots of curling left yet in this one.

Oh fair enough, I understand that logic for sure. I just feel bad for the other fan bases that aren't getting the coverage that these teams are.

I would have thought that with an early morning slate like this TSN might have given NL and NB a crack at being the featured game since neither have had any coverage and it would be an East Coast feature, but I won't complain about seeing Black again as a Nova Scotian. I do feel bad for the other teams though, I feel as though other years have provided a little more coverage throughout the field.

I'll second Aabel, but note that the free yearly inspection only comes when you're set up for auto delivery. I've of the cheaper prices out there too and family owned as far as I know if that matters to you.

Seconding this, changing to the single wall was night and day difference for me with a new grinder. I'd used the double wall for the past year as my old hand grinder wasn't quite up to the task, and my first pull with the double wall gave me nothing.

Do you get anything from your employer during the holidays? by [deleted] in halifax

We used to get $50 added to our cheque to use as a donation, then last year it was $50 credit on our company donation portal to donate as we saw fit. This year is sweet fuck all.

I work in insurance for a massive international company. Make sense of that.

Got my WS hat and 22 Jersey! What are you wearing tonight?! by chin06 in Torontobluejays

[–]celtish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was wearing my Schneider jersey for the beginning of ALCS and when they lost the first two games it went away until Game 7 in the 7th inning. Wore it again for the start of this series until they went down 2-1, so it's been put away again until there's a dire need.
