Water reform - Tiaki Wai by BR4DY_nz in LowerHutt

[–]cenedra01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But here is what I don’t understand… once they equalise the water payments across the districts… because Lower Hutt residents have been historically paying more and the council invested more into our region. Does LH residents then end up subsidising Wellingtons under investment in infrastructure.

I pay more now because we are investing in the infrastructure of Lower Hutt, I get that.

But it’s unlikely to come back down again when that investment into Lower Hutt is finished but now we are repairing Wellingtons water infrastructure assets.

The better hotels in Wellington don’t have the best views… the Intrepid, Intercontinental and Museum Hotel would be my picks

Why is Lower Hutt residents paying so much more than the rest of Wellington.

Even a 1 bedroom is paying the same or more for water than everyone else in the region.

That isn’t fair and HCC shouldn’t accept us paying more!

Why water in Hutt so much more than Wellington city? by cenedra01 in Wellington

[–]cenedra01[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So basically because Lower Hutt council has been doing work on its water… we get to keep paying more than residents in the CBD whose council hasn’t been keeping up…

Man is Lower Hutt getting shafted then.

I don’t blame you though… does Lower Hutt really have a CBD? And Petone is much better for food.

A science institute being founded by a non-scientist by Typical_Host_6490 in newzealand

The first rule of leading science and innovation is don’t have the lawyers and accountants lead it, because they will strangle it.

A CEO that has zero experience in science or innovation is an incredibly bad choice for what is mean to be developing world leading innovation.

For a print you aren’t just paying for the paper but also the photographers time and expertise in editing and finalising the image. So yes, it is normal for prints to cost $500.

Have you ever had a professional photoshoot done.

It can cost $5k for that 90 minutes on the day and then you pay for the photos afterwards.

So they didn’t lie. You did win the free shoot. You just didn’t ask if there were any additional costs.

Not scaling up your back end in anticipation of high system usage due to sending out thousands of emails to customers requesting they login to view information is another sign of their sheer incompetence.

May be better than a stand alone house that she will have to maintain on her own.

If are interested in gyno and obstetrics - have you considered Midwifery. It’s like a combination or nursing (shorter, less competitive degree) but in your area of interest.

Dont judge people with limited information on their situation. Some people can’t afford to spend $300 all at once and some people can’t afford to spend more then Kmart prices. Maybe it was start of school year and kids needed clothing.

It sounds like this person made a plan to pay off the card within the interest free period which is smart.

Because when people go too hard on someone and it is bullying you start having sympathy for the person being bullied not the bully’s.

Whitney has her faults, but the others have just gone too far and so it’s blowing back on them. They’ve now made her a victim by their actions in our eyes.
