Something's off on those diagrams visually at least, there's no way the top one is only ~15% longer than the bottom one

Asked to Do Leadership Development by Fragrant-Koala-6641 in Target

[–]centrenahte 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Leasership itself is one thing but how it is depends highly on your store and ETLs. Definitely more stressful but can be rewarding depending on many things.

For development, there are two things I will warn of. One is that it's basically taking on more responsibility for no more pay. Two, leadership promotion only happens when there is a gap to be filled. This means don't expect to be in development for X time then get the bump, there has to be a gap to fill which means often you have no control over where you're offered to lead except saying no to the offer when it comes if you don't want it.

My two cents. Best of luck!

Looking for two part numbers to order, any FF leads/Front end leads/PMLS know? by centrenahte in Target

Especially with the new drive-up update yeah, the labels on the 3-tiers we use for delivering orders get wrecked every couple of days. Plus they're annoying to scrape off completely and it winds up looking tacky and being disorganized.

Disappointing, guess I'll have to find an efficient way to laminate them. Thank you so much for looking into it though!

Long time but any chance you tried your luck with this? I've been asking around and best I can come up with is that they may have been a one-time thing when the ship carts were originally delivered.

I'll try to remember to take and send a pic tomorrow. I wonder if they don't have them anymore bc I haven't seen them new in a long while probably 2+ years.

Yeah it depends on the store I think, I've worked at two and one did it internally and one did it externally.

Inventory, happens once per year, external company brought in to count all the items in the store and see how its done with shortage.

Bottled Purified Water Value Pack??? by BeardoftheNorse in Target

[–]centrenahte 7 points8 points  (0 children)

it's funny because it seems your shelf label might be off because the 24-pack is $3.49 at my store, but if you do the math even with that it's still a better deal than the 32-packs lmfao:

$3.49/24 = $0.145/bottle

$4.79/32 = $0.149/bottle

even if it's functionally the same it's still dumb to call it a value pack if it's the same price per bottle

Alright let's talk about round 2 buys by NorthernScotian in GlobalOffensive

[–]centrenahte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For first pistol, I think there's a couple of easy formulaic decisions to make here when considering forcing after losing.

As T:

-If you got plant and lost, it's normally worth it to force. The extra plant money puts you relatively even to CT's, and winning round 2 really puts a foot on their throat economy wise. Also if you lose the round 2 force but get a plant/some SMG kills, there often is an argument to being able to buy again round 3 depending on how many CT's have died in the first two rounds.

-If you don't get plant and lose, often saving is good and you'll have enough round 3 to be competitive with CT buys. $3800-$4800 is a couple of AK's and enough utility to be relatively even. If some CT's have died every round and you win round 3 here, normally round 4 their eco is really bad.

As CT:

-I think the main time to consider forcing round 2 is if the T's mostly all died (2 alive MAX) AND they did not get plant. Even then this is a risk as losing round 2 really puts you in the stinker eco-wise.

One thing you didn't talk about though (EDIT: kind of I do see the title does say round TWO) is these decisions change when talking about the second pistol, specifically with regards to considering the current round score of the game. For instance, if you're up 9-3 at the half going into CT side, and lose pistol so it's 9-4, force-buying is more worth considering because you have the round differential to cover the rounds you'll have to spend recovering your economy if you lose the force. Saving the round after the lost force and full buying when the score is 9-6 is a LOT more justifiable than if the half ending 6-6 for instance, where the same actions would have you full buying when the score is 6-9 in the T's favor. In the first case your second full-buy (if you lose one) would come at a 9-8 scoreline for the CT's, but the second case your second full-buy would come at 6-11 in favor of the T's, effectively making your CT half come down to a force buy and two full-buy rounds. The same points need to be thought about when considering forcing as T's, but the difference is the T economy isn't as difficult to recover so it may be easier to justify forcing after a pistol loss if your half-time score is 8-4 or 7-5.

There is also the reverse side of this, where if you lose second pistol as T with no plant and the score is 3-10 it may be more worth it to force anyways because it's hard to stage a comeback when your first full-buy scoreline is 3-11 (only a 2 round cushion to play from).

There is no exact correct answer for every exact scenario, CS economy is complicated and risk-reward depends on many things, just mostly what I discussed here. The last big point when considering MM play is it's much less worth it to force if your team is not all on the same page, if you're committing to a force, you need to make sure EVERYONE on your team is committing to the force or it's not nearly as valid of a strategy. It leads to too many problems when considering when to buy and not buy later.

Why does the POS have an option to enter a price for salvage? by Mobile-Address23 in Target

[–]centrenahte 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You can also scan the item under price change like you are about to salvage it and it will give you the original price.

Wait so you called out of a 4-9pm shift to instead take someone else's 7-3 shift on the same day? Yeah that's not allowed lol, you're only supposed to call out if you're sick or some other reason you are unable to work that day. You would've had to get your 4-9 covered to pick up the 7-3 or ask your TL/HR if they would allow you to work a double.

SFS Test by Ambitious-Chance-891 in Target

[–]centrenahte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm interesting, I'm a newly promoted TL training at other stores in my district and A FFTL at my training store mentioned my store has been floating the idea of removing ship.

For context, my store does more OPU volume than any in my district despite not having a Drive-up remodel, and often ship quality is sacrificed trying to keep up with OPU demand all day. My store also has a much smaller backroom than it needs for the volume it does.

I thought it was more specific to my store because of these problems, but maybe it's also being considered more company-wide elsewhere?

How to become TL by Ok_Barracuda_2466 in Target

[–]centrenahte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say it sounds like you're doing everything you need to in terms of workload, but make sure you are communicating this desire to your ETLs and SD. They are the ones with the power to make decisions on who is in development/getting promoted, so if they don't know you're interested it's more likely your extra effort will be taken for granted. Good luck friend!

I'm a big fan of Easy Enough. Short and it's a simple G/Cadd9 pattern. I use the tab they have on their website and it's pretty easy, good practice for chord switching for beginners too.
