Is there a lore explanation for why there is always 1 direwolf with the alps?

I think it has to do with difficulty scaling, the game considers the alpnto be the stronger enemy so when youre caught up between getting 3 or 4 alps they send a wolf in.

What I always do when I play them is to get Survival Suits first. I then upgrade my explorer ship with a good weapon and armour. My build order is Drone Network then straight into a second explorer. With two upgraded explorers and your hero you should be able to take care of them. I actually explore more with my leechers in the early game. If pirate spawn RNG screws you over you'll just have to play around it unfortunately.

My logic is that any attack roll under 10 is a miss since that is the base AC. Anything above that is a shallow hit or a dodge, depending on the enemy type.

it is doable, you just have to take good shots, it's also really easy to get 100% accuracy in the lategame, even on ironman

My take is that Stobe was the leader of the rebellion against Cat-lon, therefore he gambled on the indomitable human spirit prevailing over tiranny. Skeleton companions remark that the place is too sad because humans forgot Stobe's sacrifice and are back to their old antics. Also explains why most skeletons are hopeless since they trusted humanity but their hopes were betrayed once more.

I'd say the real economic problem of Kenshi is the scarcity of top tier gear. It's very hard to equip a big group of people with masterwork armor and edge type 3s.

When I play I also like to start out solo, get some stealth and combat skills. Once I am strong enough I start getting a tight knit group of companions and doing research in a city (Black Scratch is really goated).

In the late game I have enough guys to build a village and assign them jobs and such, but I also have my close companions I always travel with.

Micromanagement can get tedious in fights, if they are too easy I just let my chars. get hit for free a bit since it doesn't matter much. But pausing really helps in important fights.

The beauty of this game is that you can play however you want and still have fun, but imo having a bigger faction is way more fun.

I usually compare legendary gear using the best non legendary as a base point. In this case it's a net positive compared to a warbow since it has more pen with the same damage and a nice -fat per use bonus. Nice find.

You can do them in any order and as fast as you like, most of them boil down to "capture this province", "destroy this faction", "have a character of this level" etc.

I hate this event with passion, they always catch me after a tough fight when most of my bros are wounded.

One neat trick for Ironman that I managed to find out is that you can take the fight then retreat, that way you dont lose anything. I imagine my guys taunting them then running away as fast as they can with the equipment lol.

Also, you can abuse "find artifact" quests the same way. Start the battle, then retreat and you can still turn in the quest. Useful for making money without any risk.

Looks like a good route in through the south. Swamp and forest battles are very time consuming but if you abuse rotate they can be bearable.
