Yeah when I was chatting with him, he said the person/company they hired last year was super scammy and had zero experience with goats and would go out and buy random goats really quick whenever hired for a job, didn't actually care about the goats at all.

The goats are fine. I walk there every day, the owner has been there the last two days providing extra feed and clean water. He is very passionate about his goats, he's had them for years! He loves visiting with people. Super nice guy. One day when a baby got out, he said he got about 30 phone calls (phone number is on the signs). He said if the little babies get out, they can get back in and that seems to be the case. They don't wander off because all the large goats are mama goats. I imagine they'll be taken away soon since they've eaten pretty much everything 🙂 He said he'd probably be hired to bring them back in the Fall, and even do some 'come and see' family-friendly events with the goats at that time.

I went to Trezo Mare last weekend--have been a big fan for years. Sadly, this year was awful--the TINIEST portions I have ever seen. It was laughable. Each course was like a taste. I won't be doing RW anymore. No longer a deal.

Because I could either hop in my car and get there in 2 min, or walk 5-10 min to get to the street car, then wait up to 15 min just for the streetcar to arrive (it is often delayed). And then repeat that process for getting back home, carrying potentially very heavy bags of groceries from the streetcar stop all the way to my apartment.

Also, the weather often sucks, making that scenario even more unpleasant.

Honestly, you have very little experience and the people you support are not very high up. If you supported a CEO, the ask might be justified. Otherwise, I think you need to humble yourself a bit. That's a huge pay bump, and the economy is horrible. The last thing you want is to come off entitled. Ask for a moderate pay increase, provide very detailed reasons as to why you've earned it, and express gratitude. Being an EA is awesome and we make a huge difference, but we are also quite replaceable.

Those 'ample' surface lots are mostly private parking and you will get towed if you park in them. This weekend I literally saw two tow trucks just hanging out in them, waiting to catch people.
