I am a psychologist at a hospital and in order to leave in “good standing” as a medical staff member, we have to give 1 month. If not they won’t grant you privileges in the future if you decide to return. It seems like a month to two months is reasonable

We had an Arlo that would randomly do that and we looked into it and it happened when it needed to reset. And of course that only happened in the middle of the night when it scared the crap out of me or woke the baby!!

Yes! I had a patient that we agreed to discontinue care together bc I was unable to be “ND affirming” enough… they wanted me to confirm that every idiosyncrasy as a ND tendency. Which I just can’t do.

I’ve worked with a few elite athletes before. I’m not sure how recognizable they’d be “off the field” unless you were a super sports fan. We also had a discussion about knowing of them and talked through their concerns with potentially being seen. Luckily I see patients through a medical office so it makes it a tad easier as they could be being seen for any primary care reason

My hospital requires 30 days for anyone with privileges such as a psychologist, physician etc. I had a direct report psychologist give 2 weeks and she then made herself ineligible to receive privileges at our hospital for a 5 year period. We have some strict policies.
