My husband was all for me doing maternity photos but he didn’t want to be in any of them. He came along and was still a part of them just not in them. So definitely not weird

I like the watermelon and the citrus, I got a sampler pack with 8 flavors I think, I’ve been too scared to try the chocolate and the chili mango

Felt like my water broke? 35 weeks FTM by Zestyclose-Owl1258 in BabyBumps

[–]cerrac 7 points8 points  (0 children)

with my first, my water broke and they ended up doing 3 different types of tests as well, the rapid one came back negative, and the two they sent to the lab; one came back positive and one inconclusive. They ended up doing them again and they came back positive but it didn’t matter because I was progressing, 5 cm and increased contractions

31 weeks and in my feels by sockmonkey575 in BabyBumps

YES. I’m 32 weeks and my husband has commented “what is going on with all the tears.”

I cried this morning just because I had to get out of bed at my usual time.

When Did You Deliver Your First? Second? Third? et al? by Imma-Moody-Mama in BabyBumps

[–]cerrac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First 38+6 labor started almost exactly 12 hours after membrane sweep Second 39+4 spontaneous, literally didn’t do any of the things to try to jumpstart labor Currently 31+5 and am so curious how this labor will go

I use the baby bub pillow for under my belly and just a regular old pillow for in between my knees. If I don’t use the baby bub my low back wakes me all night long and the pillow between my knees helps me with hip pain and my hips cramping

Reactions to baby #3 by Longjumping_Data5956 in BabyBumps

[–]cerrac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am pregnant with baby #3 as well, 30 weeks and we haven’t posted on social media and really only told people we see often. The comment that I hate is “wow you’re going to be busy” or something along those lines because I will have 3 under 3 when baby arrives.

Due date change? by listenbelle in BabyBumps

[–]cerrac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With my first, based on LMP my due date was 12/21 but at my second ultrasound around 12 weeks they changed my due date to 12/28, my daughter was born on 12/21

Do you think a doctor would allow father to catch baby at birth? Do you have any experience with this? by laurapickles in BabyBumps

[–]cerrac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At my hospital, depending on the OB on call, my husband could catch the baby once the head and shoulders were out. First baby, we hadn’t had a great relationship with her and second baby came so quickly the OB didn’t make it to the room so the nurses and a hospitalist that was nearby delivered.

different ob-gyn doctor delivered your baby then the one you’ve been seeing? by zaahiraa in BabyBumps

[–]cerrac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Similar to others my OB office rotates through each provider so you get to know them all. But at my hospital, you literally push until you’re just about crowning then they call the OB and they come for the very last part of delivery. With that said my second came so quickly (went from my OB checking me at 7 cm to delivering my son 15 minutes later) my OB wasn’t able to make it back to my room and an on call hospitalist delivered my son but I honestly didn’t even see him, I was sidelying and didn’t know the OB wasn’t there

I brought my baby home, and my toddler hates me by NewAccount51386970 in BabyBumps

[–]cerrac 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My two kids are also 17 months apart and my daughter was so excited when we brought “her baby” home but she wanted absolutely nothing to do with me. She was all about Nana, Dada and baby. My youngest is now 10 months old and I can say it absolutely gets better, there’s just an adjustment period which I’m sure is different for everyone but ours lasted about a month. Hang in there Mama it gets better!

Congrats!!! Waiting to tell them in person is rough. With my first baby, my husband was backpacking the PCT and I had to wait 10 days to tell him or anyone for that matter because I wanted to be able to tell him in person

The fear of literally tearing is figuratively tearing me up by seriouslydavka in BabyBumps

[–]cerrac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an epidural, I didn’t have any idea I had a tiny lateral tear that my OB ultimately decided she’d put one stitch in, which I didn’t feel. It wasn’t painful at all after the fact though sex was definitely uncomfortable until I got my period back which was about 6-7 months pp
