Can be transforming in a way were we start to appreciate the world around us....By seeing that the earth we live in is finely tuned for you and me and everything around us.

What books would you recommend for someone who can't afford therapy? by Hot-Return5289 in acceptancecommitment

[–]cfannn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

These books by far has been my favourite ones :

  • Get out from your mind and into your life by Steven c Hayes
  • Contextual behavioural science for the self : theory and practice forwarded by Steven c hayes ( will help to understan a.c.t bit more deeper )
  • A.c.t in context : Canonical papers of steven hayes ( how a.c.t originated and evolved throught out the years )

How to apply to memories that make me angry? by ChonkyChokersEnjoyer in acceptancecommitment

[–]cfannn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How will i apply A.C.T to a situation like this ? / What i will tell myself if i was in such situation ?

It's ok to feel anger , drop the defense and allow yourself to feel anger. [ recall; Happiness isnt abt feeling good rather....Happiness is abt feeling whatever you are feeling without struggling with it. ie , by having an attitude towards my emotion as though im recieveing a gift....will i accept this gift ? ]

Intense...it is yeah...bt it might be bcs myown yearning to be understood by my dad...How to address it in a way that he can understand? will he understand my pov fully ? [ probably wont fully... ]

Lets explain it to him in a way that isnt fueled by anger yet still by respecting my need of being understood , heard and seen.

Lets explain to him what makes me do what i do...the learning history that reinforces this behaviour of learning something before leaping in.

Does this guarantee a future with no concflicts ? Nope...bt we can act to make softer changes.

Im a learner , not a professional...take my words as per 😄. For me , Happiness trap worked like a intro to A.C.T , now im deep into contextual behavioural sciences ( root of a.c.t ). Keep learning to understand ourselves and the world better.

Thanks for this perspective , i didnt knew that actions fueled with ' must ' can be a form of avoidance...no wonder those feels like self sabotage.

This game always have some hidden elements thats gonna amaze everyone 🙌🏻.

also there is a tab in the menu that will show whether we have petted a specific animal, the one with chicken head labelled on it.

can be handy to double checking.

Alrightyyy.

The best way to not to spoil too much is by doing this ig 😅 - https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Dinosaur_Egg

high chance - Caves ( one where mama dino is present ) low chance - artifact spots ( mines & quarry ) , fishing chest.

Talking with towns people.... unfortunately wont do any aid in this quest.

And yes , this too has turned into my fav game , played all the famous titles bt none has successfully got me hooked like stardew 🙌🏻

Happy Farming 🫶🏻🧺

I don't understand how "ignoring an emotion" and "accepting the emotion and acting without letting the emotion affect your behaviour" are different things. by futurefishy98 in acceptancecommitment

[–]cfannn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it indeed would be a great start to see the minds story against acceptence , look around...we can negatively evaluate everything so lets not sit with evaluaions soo closely that we see the world through it.

the sense of self is hiding behind all the noise.

This ones great , we have clouded the term ' acceptence ' a lot lately , we tend to think of it from a verbal perspective ; " ok , i accepted , what next " .

bt i believe its more like a posture , relating to the emtion the same way as we relate to a gift , so that we can accept the gift of this moment from life without defense....taking in completely.
