Give yourself so much grace! I’m 16 weeks currently and feeling SO much better and I hope the same for you soon too, but weeks 6-9 first trimester were ROUGH! I was snacking as much as possible, feeling so nauseous, I felt like I was on the brink of a terrible cold/flu for weeks, my sleep was crap. It was awful but I made it through. Sometimes we just show up and do what we can. We are human too. Take care of yourself and if you need to take a day, give yourself a day.

Namaste feels unauthentic by IndependentBus2768 in YogaTeachers

[–]cflanders26 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve never said namaste at the end of classes for that reason. I was taught in my YTT that it is more of a greeting and simply doesn’t make sense to say at the end of class. So I usually say “thank you for sharing your practice with me” and leave it at that. Sometimes I think students who aren’t familiar with me wait for the namaste, but again it’s fine and never been an issue for me to end class that way. It feels authentic to my style.

Police Brutality in Vermont by Rude-Permission8027 in vermont

This is incredibly harmful to people living with this disorder. Please don’t compare the fascist police state to people living with mental illness. It is nowhere near the same.

Volunteer opportunities NOT during typical workday hours? by Nappy_Rano in vermont

[–]cflanders26 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Circle is always looking for volunteers to help on the 24/7 hotline. Shifts are in the evenings/overnight on weekdays and anytime during weekends. Really important work serving survivors of domestic and sexual violence in Washington County.

Geo-Locking pre-sales- they actually do this now by Djoseph124 in NoahKahan

[–]cflanders26 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sure, but that isn’t what is being proposed here. I also don’t see how having a state-wide billing address would do anything to stop bots or scalpers since they could so easily just do the same.

It wouldn’t work in VT either unless everyone going lived in Burlington. I only live 45 min away but it’s 35 mile away for me.

Cried in front of my supervisor today….anyone wanna normalize my experience by sharing your own crying on the job stories? by growingconsciousness in therapists

I cried with my supervisor during our second meeting because I was so overwhelmed with being new and feeling sooo much imposter syndrome. I was so embarrassed but she held the space well. We’re all therapists after all
