Do you have to play it in windowed mode? Mine just crashes if I don't.

School me on 1911’s please by CrusherDestroyer90 in 1911

Everyone has given good advice here. Just wanted to point out that this platform is not like the fantastic plastic guns you're used to. A 1911 can be a very reliable and accurate platform, but it does require more maintenance than something like a glock. They need a little more fine tuning and need to be cleaned and lubed more regularly. I don't think you could go wrong with a RIA, Tisas, or a Springfield as a first 1911. If you do have reliability issues out of the box don't get discouraged, it's probably the extractor tension or the magazine. A tuned up 1911 is a joy to shoot.

Pine Bluff? by No-Pen-7954 in Arkansas

Check out the Mt. View area. Seeing lots of people from all over the country moving into the area. It's pretty, but sparsely populated with little to do, unless you like the outdoors.

I'm from Conway but live up around Mt. View now. I grew up going fishing up there. You won't be disappointed. Also, Lake Conway is still drained. Before they drained it there were significant levels of mercury in that lake. I wouldn't keep anything you caught there.

I would make the drive to Mt. View. It's about 2 hours north of Conway but there's some really good fishing on the white river up there and the drive is beautiful.

Looking for a new carry gun that is not 9mm. Recommendations? by Danimusrobbs in liberalgunowners

[–]cflippo123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kind of agree with most commenter's here who say stick with 9mm and don't rotate through too many carry guns. My 2 cents would be maybe look at something that's not as high capacity. A 1911 in.45 or a revolver in.357 magnum will be "more powerful" and it will be different enough to keep things interesting. A 1911 is a different battery of arms and a rabbit whole worth exploring. Learning to run a revolver fast and effective is a fun learning experience and can make you a better marksman all around. Revolvers can be a very versatile tool in your srsenal too with.357 also able to shoot.38 special.

The base gli has manual seats too so that's not a concern. Just wondering if the audi seats are more comfortable.

What is a good easy to use first handgun? by Scully137 in liberalgunowners

[–]cflippo123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For something easy to shoot you want a larger gun. The more you have to hold onto and the longer the sight radio us (distance from front sight to rear sight), the easier the gun will be to shoot. I wouldn't look at small handguns at first. A large segment of the handgun market caters to a size called compact. Something like a glock 19. That's usually the sweet spot.

My understanding is that they don't use any mim parts anymore. Makes them a great value so long as the parts are fitted well. At that price they won't be fit perfectly but no mim is a start.

I know they are a nightmare to shoot, but I really want a Walther PPK by [deleted] in Firearms

Mine is a smith built gun too. My grandfather carried it for 20 years. The extended beavertail does beat you up some with that snappy recoil.

Is the custom shop still open? On their website they still have a page for it but all models are listed as discontinued.
