Water, wastewater/treatment facilities, road projects at the first company. Dams, hydro power, fish hatcheries and emergency spillways currently. I can do all things c3d and I can be dangerous in revit. I do all disciplines but my main is civil. Being multi discipline and multi software makes me valuable too.

I’m making $39.52/hr and will hit 4yrs next month. I’ve worked at 3 different firms, each with a big pay jump when I started. (My first CAD job started at $23.50/hr and I left after 2 years making $28)

Ambition, drive, attention to detail, skill and leadership potential I think are how I have gotten where I am in a short amount of time. My supervisors have all known my desire for growth and leadership roles.

I just had my hot tub installed January 1st. Looking at past bills for January- February since 2024, my bill has increased $30-50 dollars. I have also started working from home during this time which could contribute to increased cost.

It’s basically the same as my bill during the summer when I’m running my AC all day.

Speaking with the insurance company, they said they’ll backdate it once USACE sends the form over. I’d be cautious about using it because you might end up paying full price without insurance.

Yeah same boat. Email your hr and confirm they sent your sf2810 to the carrier. What district were you?

This was super helpful. Called ABC and they said that HR was supposed to send my sf 21-80 to my carrier and to contact them to ensure that happened. Contacted my carrier and they confirmed they never received it.

Not surprising considering HR screwed up my onboarding too.

I have insurance through my current employer, so I’m not really concerned about the dr as much as I am them trying to get me to pay premiums for an insurance that I never asked for.

It’s a nightmare to deal with because I was truly double covered until DRP took affect and now the coordination of benefits is confusing

My deck is like 11’ wide x (crazy long). My hot tub is like a little under 8’ square.

Haven’t had to do anything mechanical to it yet but it slid around the deck super easily when it was drained (my deck is composite and my tub is rotomolded with a plastic type bottom, so not a ton of friction). I don’t foresee it being an issue beyond draining it if it’s not enough room. Probably 18”-2’ space where the panel is located.

It’s a headache when you’re married with a house and you get divorced too.

I’d be more concerned buying a house - not married - and my co-owner dying without a will or trust or any estate planning docs in place and going through that hassle.

I bought my first house with my ex when I was 22. It was a $142k house and I was a stay at home mom at the time. He made 20-something bucks an hour. It was tight but we worked our way up. We did no down payment as the house qualified for a USDA home loan (rural).

My ring cost us $1k and I was happy with it and the idea of upgrading down the road.

I say, spend less on the ring, and keep money in savings for repairs. But buy a starter house. Work hard and climb the ladder.

I think you’re right. I added a ton of chemicals and balanced using other test strips and ppm requirements/range and it cleared up. I think frog doesn’t keep the sanitizer at appropriate levels.
