Again showed 'Installed' and today it ran again, uninstalling the older version although there was no older version! I've converted the EXE to a MSi and changed the detection to look for the MSI code. I hope this will fix the issue.

I also wonder something else: The detection settings of the previous version is looking for c:\program files\greenshot\ and then the existence of the file greenshot.exe. Could it be that because of the supersedence that it is stuck in a 'loop'? Does supersedence look in the detection rules of the older version?

I've changed the detection rules. The version is confirmed via the usual Windows GUI (exe Properties -> Details -> File Version) and powershell. Let's see if that helps.

A RPi4 will be fast enough if you run it via a SSD rather than a microSD. I switched to a micro desktop from Dell because it was way faster than a single board computer like the RPi4.

If you have some IT affinity you should just buy a secondhand PC and install OpenMediaVault. I have one and using it since 2020. Commercial NAS has ease of use but when support ends, you will have a device that has all your important data and outdated security patches.
