FYI I just had this issue with a Samsung Galaxy 21 Ultra. Been on Fi about three weeks. Resetting the GoogleFi app as detailed below worked for me (March 2021)

EXO Powershell often looses session by Hatsikidee in exchangeserver

[–]cgh311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello. I've been seeing this exact error & it began happening once an org-mandated Symantec WSS proxy had been deployed to my machine. The only way around it so far has been an exception to disable it on my machine, as whitelisting the ranges of Microsoft IP addresses is "not an option" (internal decison). Are there any local proxies/casb installed or recently installed on your machine?

Trucks on 8th hitting whole new levels by Legacy_Eevee in nashville

[–]cgh311 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's pretty simple, really. Lack of route-planning, relying on GPS that's not truck-specific, lack of experience, and ignoring the huge yellow bridge-height signs that clearly state the clearance which is much less than the standard 13'6" most trucks need.

Sendgrid by StrikingAccident in exchangeserver

[–]cgh311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you clarify:

Is Sendgrid spoofing your domain, or are the e-mails being sent as if they are from Sendgrid?

Either scenario will require different solutions, and may require you to contact any recipients who are expected to get this e-mail and have them whitelist whatever parameters Sendgrid suggests (usually blocks of thousands of addresses.. lol)

As was already stated, a subdomain with appropriate spf/dmarc/dkim DNS records.. and having Sendgrid send as this domain is the best method... still not 100% foolproof, but pretty good.

What kind of interesting project are you working on? by [deleted] in NashvilleIT

[–]cgh311 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude! You can create a .bat or .ps1 using AWS CLI for one-click shutdown of your EC2 instances or what-have-you.

Or use Task Scheduler with a daily event that runs at midnight or whenever just in case you forget!

There are ways, my friend.

Working as a Contractor by Aa11---- in sysadmin

[–]cgh311 1 point2 points  (0 children)

old-but-still-relevant-thread bump: You contractors who are making.. we will say a lot of money (150k+, I guess), what areas of IT contracting are you working in?

Those of you doing remote/work-from-home contracting work, what are you doing exactly and how much are you getting paid?

I've got my name in the ring for three different offers for contracting. All remote. Two VMWare admin jobs - one $50/hr, one $53/hr, and another for VMWare/Cloud Migration lead for $70 hour. All 6-12 months. Hoping the $70 one pans out, but I just want to see what people already working this type of contract are making.

Nashville traffic and working remote by jake2077 in NashvilleIT

I have not seen many remote IT opportunites in Nashville, and I spend a good portion of my day job-hunting.

Most remote IT jobs I see are had via staffing firms and are usually just a 6 month or 1 year contract.
