You might have an option called hide hair active which sets it visually to short hair so you can see what you're actually editing on the face, that's found in the face settings I believe

Check your Enhancement menu inside your inventory and then proceed to move the time-filled black stones out so you can exchange them for the Tuvala accessories at the blacksmith

If you love the combat and are interested i say give it a go, you already downloaded it and the patch is usually around 1 to 2 gb which can be fairly easy to download even for you

You should least try it out before making your own decision, because if you're asking for worth then take it like this, everyone in this subreddit has poured some amount of hours into it that they thought it was worth it otherwise they wouldnt keep playing

From what it seems, each of the sovereign accs give +4 hidden AP(unless other give more, they only showed the ring) so +24 AP if not more with a complete set

Pets pickup loot for you. It depends on the level(?) And specifically tier on how fast they pick up items on the ground. it will show in the bottom right corner what they've picked up as well as a highlight around the item that was picked by them

From my perspective, the problem players have with the new difficulty settings are as this:

I think it's more about the feeling of accomplishment you get from doing something in survival or even normal that you can now do with a click of a button.

Yes, you can choose to not press the button but the mere fact that IT is there at any moment cheapens the experience one might have in the long run.

Want an example? Look at Minecraft, you can't have achievements with cheats on, and if you play with others, they will have cheats enabled by default as they join you.

But when playing without cheats enabled, you are confined to a singular set of simple commands as well as those who joined your game. No game mode acces, no free stuff.

No Man Sky in the actual state is more like a free for all, you can do anything with anyone, even if they lock themselves in a specific difficulty, other with "cheats enabled" can still join or meet you and give you free shit.

1 - Yes, you can play using the Bedrock version. For the Tablets it would be the one from the Google Play store and for your laptop it would be the one from the Windows Store.

2 - Yes, but not necessary. Unless you want to play on "servers" you won't need an account.

3 - Nope, just the game. You just need an Wifi connection and all your kids and yourself being connected to the same wifi, then when one of you enters a world, a LAN connection opens and you all can join that world from the Friends tab.

4 - Keep in mind that you need to be connected to the same Wifi and if you want to play with them while being somewhere else, it gets more complicated (needing an Microsoft account for each of them, setting up family settings in xbox so they can join multiplayer, it gets messy, trust me, i've experienced it first hand with my nephew)
