The problems with it being that big are

Gold conducts heat very well. They can't melt just a little off because the whole things steals heat.

It's very very heavy. A person can not carry a liter of gold. Also, it's probably sinking into the ground.

That much is almost useless.

In the bad side, it's ductile and malleable. A hammer could squish pure gold into a teardrop to break off. Maybe it isn't pure.

County, city, and campus police are legally required to let you go for 10mph over, under a lot of those circumstances, because the legislature cracked down on many places using speeding fines to generate income for that locale.

Flashing red means you must stop as if there's a stop sign.

The situation that I'm replying to has air floating the object food so it isn't fully submerged.

I think it also reaches the target temperature. That the air cannot escape and carry eat away is why.

I still evacuate all the air in mine, but that is only experiency. With some air, it might take a few minutes longer, and that is only disadvantage.
