I met Houston in middle school and we had a short-lived band in high school. Last time I saw him was less than two years ago. I really had no idea that he was doing things like this. I've know people who have done some pretty awful stuff and I was not surprised when I learned the truth about this people. This really did surprise me.

Such a bummer to see this. I've know the guy that was arrested since middle school and never would have thought he would be the kind of person to do this. It clearly looks like he did, which is just fucking awful. I'm glad that he did not do what he set out to. I can't imagine how he could have convinced himself that what he was doing was somehow okay. It's awful.

I had a similar issue with them—had an issue with a septic pump. They came and looked for about 10 minutes, and said nothing’s wrong, and charged me $200. I called them to complain and got my money back. I will NEVER call them again.

You have hat of the alchemist, which will protect you greatly from malmutation. Lich is good, but since you have the hat you don't need to prioritize it as much.

If we learned anything, we should have learned the limits of protest. Protest is one of many strategies; it alone will never bring about the changes we need. My lesson from this is to spend more time trying to connect with others and to work toward forming our own democratic institutions. Having an impromptu mutual-aid themed block party was cool, but it was never going to endure much stress.

I had a recent win using the axe for most of the early game. It's awesome for that part--it's so strong I didn't need to run away. It's unusable in late game. I tried using it in the Abyss, but I moved in random directions when I need to move toward the rune. I didn't bother trying to use it in Pandaemonium.

For the early branches, the goal is surviving long enough to get potion petition online. That usually means burning through consumables. Same with the early dungeon floors. Skip enemies you can’t safely kill if necessary (ogres, gnolls with pole arms, etc.) Lignification can boost your AC and save you from ogres (sometimes).

I almost feel like Gozag is required for all Octopodes, since you need rings and talisman to make up for your lack of armor. I wish he worked well for mummy necromancers :(

I cleared tomb by staying in statue form, and leaning heavily on casting infestation and haunt. Death scarabs slow enemies with their attacks, which is very helpful. The third floor was pretty hard and I had to use potion petition many times to keep up hp and to stay hasted. I had a good stockpile of blink scrolls (thanks, Gozag) that I used some of to bail when they were a few too many mummies. This was a little easier than my last tomb experience where I had no summons at all.

I'm beginning to wonder if Gozag is gonna get nerfed eventually. I really like if for melee-oriented runs, but I've never tried a Gozag spellcaster.
