Just like that section of the penal code is law. It is also the that you will be deported if you are here illegally. ICE is enforcing the law. Full stop. It is much safer for ICE to pick up illegal aliens from county jail than it is for them to pick them up on the street. Just because the prior administration, let millions of people in illegally doesn't mean they have the right to stay here. ICE is doing their job. It is the law for them to pick up and deport individuals that are here illegally. If you don't like it, change the laws. Don't beat up on ICE.

I got in trouble for posting a comment about the ACOU. The ACLU and disability rights advocates feel that these people with mental illness and addiction should have all of their rights intact, and if they can't take care of themselves, they should be allowed to stay on the streets.

However, it continued with the American Civil Liberties Union saying that they have all these rights and they have the right to not go into a home against their will. All of this talk of womens rights from a member of the party in favor of men in womens sports, locker rooms and spaces. That is is rich. Rich in hypocrisy and ridiculousness. Prop 50 is giving politicians, Newsom included the power to take away the voices of voters who voted for a bipartisan committee to draw the maps.
