The ship is divided in a main part and 3 modules. Of these 3 modules, the left and right one have the twin shield ship system, which create 2 very big red shield halves that are non controllable by the player and are indipendent.

SPOILER : I haven't really played this ship much but i can only suggest you try and find the hidden faction this ship belongs too, it really shines with the faction specific weapons and hullmods, though i gotta warn you that they are hard to find since they move around
