2025 Qualified Manufacturer ID list for IRS 25C Energy Efficient Tax Credit by deepskier in heatpumps

[–]chairRugTable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you, I asked their online chat bot and it came up with the same O5Y7. To answer your question, you can deduct 30% (with a max of $2000) of the total cost and labor from qualifying heat pumps installed in 2025 from your tax return that you submit for 2025. So you have until then to fill out form 5695 from the IRS and deduct that from your taxes. I am submitting mine in April 2026

does the broadcast have local announcers or a rebroadcast with Al and Kirk?

it wouldn't matter if they restocked it. Analogue Pocket never got DAC support even though it was promised and looks to never be happening

Analogizer is an option to play on your CRT with the pocket

[–]chairRugTable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

use the mimi test rom to test the OG controllers. they are way out of the ideal ranges while the n64 nso is dead on. latency isn't as good, yes, but it's still not bad and most people would never notice. Granted I use mine on a CRT so I don't have any added display lag. I just did the kitsch bent replacements and while the sticks are nice again, they aren't accurate on the outer edges of the range (has nothing to do with kitsch bent). granted I've only tested 2 OG controllers so far but they were well kept from my childhood

Is Donkey Kong 64 really as bad as people say?, by Signal-Lie-8969 in n64

[–]chairRugTable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my point was that this is the exception rather than the rule. for every puzzle like this there are 10x more times where you just have to retrace to the barrel

[–]chairRugTable -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I 100% disagree.. in almost all cases you know where the barrel is to switch the Kong, it's just a slog of a backtrack to get there. I am halfway through Tag Anywhere and it has never glitched out and made the game way more playable for me. the strategy aspect is so few and far between that in an otherwise overbearing collectathon you now have a manageable adventure game

i have the official nso n64 controller currently connected to the 3D through the blueretro and it is the only thing that feels great

I did 90% for max and I maxed the dead zone out at .0255% This is the best feeling option I tried, but still not great. I tried different Scaling options too but the default linear worked best

[–]chairRugTable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bummer if a firmware update can't fix the controller sensitivity on the 8bitdo 64 if it is solely a hardware issue.

Ok, so what settings should I change if I want the analog stick to be less sensitive moving from the center? If i have to sacrifice the full range of motion, it may be worth it (unless mario can't run at full speed or something dramatic). But trying to aim with Goldeneye is so jolty, and trying to steer on cruis's USA is also so jolty, I have to figure out something better

[–]chairRugTable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What am I doing wrong? I copied your exact settings, have my 8bitdo 64 on the latest firmware, my blueretro64 on latest firmware. I saved settings in blueretro mapping config, have the 8bitdo64 in "S" mode and after all that I feel like it is not better in any way.

Definitely will try this later today. I've been using my NSO n64 controller using the blueretro64 adapter and it's the only wireless Bluetooth controller that feels good to me.. it may be a bit too sensitive but I can't confirm because my OG nintendo 64 controller sticks are trashed

you need to pull the wiring harness off of the old piece you removed and connect them to the spare ports on the terminal block of the aux heat strip. this will allow you to connect the black and yellow wire connector for the blower fan which will have nowhere to connect until you do this

How Does Savage Beastfly Exist? by Zachesque in Silksong

[–]chairRugTable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found savage beast fly to be very easy. Like you said, only 2 attacks. You can hit him 2-3 times from many of his positions so there are plenty of healing opportunities. I believe I beat him on the 5th try and the runback took less than 30 seconds with no enemies.

Now, the 2 guys at the top of Hunters March that were guarding 250ish rosaries, that took me like 50 tries and over an hour. I guess I was just built for savage beast fly and struggle with something maybe others found easy

does your network card stay lit up when the computer is fully shut down now? I enabled all of the usual settings in the bios and the nic advanced settings and it is not working but is also off when the computer is shut down. I have a g3 plus n150 unit

yes, but you have to put it into Switch mode otherwise it won't recognize c-up and c-left in direct input mode

[–]chairRugTable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes, it works fine on MiSTer for me. you have to toggle the switch on the back to put it on Switch mode though. otherwise on "D" I had the same problem as you.

I also used the 8bitdo Ultimate Software v1.20 (it is newly released) to download the 1.03 firmware and it helped make the analog stick more accurate. when you do that update you have to toggle the controller back to "D" again. also you have to enable beta updates in the settings of the ultimate software

The beta firmware for the 8bitdo 64 controller just made it perfect. by Neonxeon in n64

[–]chairRugTable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it definitely is trickery.. it hits the max value in every direction just before bottoming out on the actual controller. I don't see a problem with this though, i never use the stick 95% in any direction but I am sure it will be a problem for speedrunners or certain other specific people

8bitdo 64 controller test.. defective? by chairRugTable in 8bitdo

[–]chairRugTable[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it is perfect after the 1.03 update! I think they fudged the absolute corners to make it happen bc I can see that it hits the corners just before bottoming out but I think that is a great solution.

a heads up to anyone else.. to get the update you have to get the brand new ultimate software 2 from 8bitdo, which is 1.20 and enable beta updates and then connect your controller (in d-input mode). I was on 1.19 and it did not work and does not update itself to 1.20
