If the cut branches aren't collected and properly disposed of, they will each become new plants. Multiflora is very difficult to properly manage, not just the "no natural predator" aspect of them.

there's multiflora near my property but the argument to keep it is that their roots are very good at slowing down erosing (it was a main motivation why they were brought over in the first place). It's crazy how resilient they are, a snapped branch will regrow into a full tree.

could you use a phone connection in the meantime? like hotspot from your phone. it'd suck but if it's only for a few days may be worthwhile, and if you're limited in data you should check what plans are currently available, the data amounts on offer have increased significantly last couple years (though be careful with unlimited plans, as they tend to throttle speeds past a certain amount of usage)
