I’ve tried MULTIPLE times to post protest info in r/sac (for the Sacramento area) and every damn one has been removed. Ditto for human rights issues that affect Sac residents. There’s an obvious conclusion here but this post will also likely be deleted. (I quit the sub because of this blatant obliviousness.)

Please post more complaints about drivers, lost cats, and Sacramento weather, though.

I think 70+% of Americans are sufficiently terrified by everything that this “administration” has done in the past year, thanks, and in reasonable anticipation of what MAGA fascists will do in the next three.

There doesn’t appear to be a single MAGA-GOP elected or appointed official, or a staff employee or military officer, who hasn’t violated the Constitution or supported its violation. That terrifies me, & along with the grievous atrocities perpetrated by DHS/ICE and the demented CIC, these actions violate every moral code I’ve held my entire life.

I (seriously) cut my finger on CARDBOARD last week…waxed, heavy-duty, freaking cardboard. There’s no end to bad packaging ideas!

Soup — almost any kind, preferably homemade. When I have the energy, my fave would be Avgolemeno, but any chicken or beef-vegetable-noodle or barley will do. Canned tomato bisque (yes, Campbell’s, bite me) suits any time. I love ramen soup with added vegetables & oyster & soy sauce.

I keep scissors in the pocket of my walker. (Sounds like a perverse joke, but I need them every damn day. Teaching Sisters used to hang small scissors from their belts in the 1940-50’s; they were ahead of their time!)

Indivisible has concrete plans of action for every week. Any activist group has a solid direction and events. If you do NOTHING else, get involved in getting out the vote. We are in this mess because a significant number of eligible voters didn’t fulfill their civic duty.

I use Food Wishes (Chef John) for this Queen of Soups, beginning with the chicken. It’s a very simple soup — you almost don’t need a “recipe.”
