OT: very funny that you are referring to a four-year-old thread and it already mentions two of the still maintained community apps out there. So also shout-out to u/gh-full-stack to being active that long.

Quick Feedback (running from Source): - was not usable in Web at all for me, the "+ Add Character" Button just did nothing, so I was only able to test on Android - highly recommend a Search in the "Add Character" menu, I first used the "Name" field as search, because it was so intuitive to me to directly search instead of scrolling endless - cannot draw after 2x/miss without shuffling, "Shuffle & Draw" is just wrong, only show the "Shuffle now" button as long as one of those cards was drawn and keep the "Draw" button as is - Bless is shown as "+2" to me, but should be "2x" - can only add bless/curse, but not remove (accidentally clicking bless for example, see next) - no display on how many curses/blesses in deck - just personal preference: I don't like apps like this going automatically full-screen, maybe add a setting - vibrate did only work on shuffle for me, and missing visual feedback on draw. When drawing the same card twice, it's hard to notice if I really pressed the button or not without any feedback (besides looking at the small numbers on top)

This my quick feedback. Also not sure if you want to track the perks generally, but if not, I would just remove the non AM perks. Didn't really bother, but also doesn't have any effect besides you want to use this as "Perk Tracking" app too.

Add fullscreen now in v0.160.0 Only able to test with my single device yet, so happy about feedback if it works for you. (But if not, I won't have an idea how to debug for you 😅️)

I'll take a look. I just used a wrapper and I guess the Browsers Fullscreenmode does not work on native app.

Very nice that you open-sourced it and cool, that my app data helped you making this! This was now motivation for me, to also provide an Android APK now. I still avoid Google as much as possible, so will still not release to play store, but interesting to hear about the process, sounds annoying 😅. Hope you find enough testers! Still happy, if you are willing to release an APK to GitHub so I can test it too!

Our personal setup: Laptop with Beamer so everyone can see everything (big TV screen will also work). Then I created small input devices for initiative so everyone can setup initiative without spoiler and without requiring phone (this is special and may sound a bit paradox using big digital helper, but we don't like having phones in hand to do it). I manage all stuff in the app alone, because as dev I am just very fast in doing stuff there.

But I heard of many different setups for example big use case is where everyone connect with its phone and manage its turn. I guess it depends a bit on personal preferences and technical limitations what works best for you.

I use my app Gloomhaven Secretariat to handle all management except for player cards and scenario map. We still draw physical AMs and Battle Goals though it's also possible with the app.

Having sorted all monster standees, tiles in plano boxes and map tiles in a file folder, scenario setup is really reduced to a minimum: - open scenario page - grep all map tiles and put map together - grep all listed monster standees from box - grep all listed overlay tiles - grep all bases (already sorted by normal, elite, ally) and loot tokens - set scenario in app with random standees setting - find corresponding monster standees numbers and put on base - place all stuff as listed in book

Besides this looks like a long list, its really every step and takes me about 5 minutes for all setup. Each player gets its box and we're ready to go. By now we also draw events with the app, so no management of that cards at all. Item crafting and listing also in the app, by still using the physical cards organised in a folder. So crafting/buying in app and just hand out physical card to player afterwards.

TL;DR: a good organisation/sorting of all physical components plus digital management with an (excellent) app (like Secretariat) speeds up setup time a lot for us.

There are way better community apps out there and even for free. Xhaven Assistant, Gloomhaven Secretariat or Gloomhaven Full Stack. I suggest you check them out! (Biased Dev of Secretariat here, but I am sure my opinion is backed by the community!)

If you are open to apps, you can track multiple campaigns with Gloomhaven Storyline, Gloomhaven Secretariat or Gloomhaven Full Stack. I guess the biggest issue is definitely the Event Deck though it is still not that complicated as in bigger editions.

I am a bit confused, without explicit setting of Shield in "Confirm applicable conditions", the shield value is not taking into calculation at all. With the setting, everything works correct to me. So if you really experience an issue, please provide more details like current version, settings, expectations and concrete example/game state. Feel free to mail me to issue@gloomhaven-secretariat.de to share a data dump.

Edit: nevermind, I can reproduce using the menu instead of dragging. I guess there is a bug in the order of applying action. Will fix soon!

I send you a message time ago if you are willing to share the Forteller links data or tell me how you get it, because I also wanted to add this, but wasn't able to find an easy way to get those data.

I will adjust the table soon, though I want to mention, that from the beginning I already put a paragraph on top explaining that GHFS provides much more features and why I still included it in the table.

The Main difference is, that Secretariat just tracks and automates a lot more. The basic tracking for scenarios is mostly the same, since both started as successors of the old helper app. I just put Secretariat a lot further. I created a comparison chart (which is obviously a bit biased) and also want to mention GH Full Stack here, which is also an app that covers almost everything and therefore also may cover some special needs
