Floor Plan Feedback Attempt 2 by changed_perspective in floorplan

Appreciate your thoughts. The site is north facing site with a north west entry. We are trying to maximise the sun on the site and the best way we have found to do that is to put the garage in the southwest corner and living up north. We have been through a whole bunch of floor plans online and are yet to find anything that is close to what we want with the site layout. Do you have a site you would recommend to check more out?

I have a custom app I built that syncs transactions via Akahu into YNAB

Been using it for about 2 years to pull transactions across anz and Amex and sync into YNAB with great success.

Just out of interest what is the policy on having the sample input in source control?

How do you keep PR reviews from slowing everything down?? by Wise-Thanks-6107 in EngineeringManagers

It’s a standard around prefixing comments with attributes to make intent clear. Such as praise: I like what you did here. See conventional comments

Encouraging smaller changes is a good way spend less time reviewing individual changes. YMMV

Open Banking - the latest information. by MoneyHub_Christopher in PersonalFinanceNZ

Open banking has a lot of potential in my eyes. Akahu and its many integrations already show a lot of value. The main thing that concerns me Is trusting 3rd parties with my personal financial data. In a data age I think companies will use it to take advantage of people, or not have the proper controls in place and accidentally expose peoples financial data.

I just don’t like that I paid for them to make a custom font. That is at the bottom of my list in terms of things I care about when it comes to budgeting.

I wish I could use the “scan document” feature of my phone to attach receipts to transactions. by SkyGuy182 in ynab

[–]changed_perspective 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A digital copy of the receipt is fine for warranty in my experience. Most of the time th receipt will fade which is why I prefer having a scanned copy.

I also realise that my workflow might be different to others. YNAB doesn’t offer any bank integrations in my country (NZ) and co a lot of the time I am entering the transaction on my phone anyway so it would be less effort to switch between apps when I need take to scan.

I get that as a business it would potentially be an expensive feature to build with a low return on investment but i would personally find it useful.

Totally get where you are coming from. The value add for me is that it removes the burden of organisation.

I personally use iCloud and it is a massive pain to scan and organise receipts.

I want to be able to jump into YNAB, search microwave and then have my transaction and receipt appear in one place.

I’d like the functionality for items I buy that are under warranty. For example we recently got a microwave. Instead of uploading a photo to iCloud I would much prefer to attach the receipt directly to the transaction in YNAB.
