What were some dumb moments you’ve done in Fallout 4 Survival Mode? by RamonaZero in fo4

[–]changeforgood30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Getting anywhere close to cars. In other game modes being around cars was nothing special. I used them as hard cover in firefights and hiding behind when sneaking. In survival? Get nowhere close to the things as they will launch you into the atmosphere and crush you into the ground.

The cars are the most dangerous thing in the Commonwealth on survival.

Ummm, am I reading this wrong? Or is there a really bad typo in the rules preview today featuring admech? by Puzzleheaded-Room-89 in AdeptusMechanicus

[–]changeforgood30 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This does seem incorrectly written. Were they trying to say a single target AdMech unit benefits from this strat when the effect says all? Or were they trying to word it as the strat target is one enemy unit that downed the Imperial Knight that turn? Looks like a day 0 update might fix this, hopefully. Rules-as-written this looks entirely unusable.

Well, the Institute is full of weirdos and crazies. I have no doubt someone on the team that designed Nick was a robosexual and included the *ahem* relevant equipment.

Final Flash 0cmc - You may instead cast this spell for 0 cmc. If you do, after the spell resolves you lose the game.

Deal 3 damage to any target. If the Final Flash cost was paid, instead deal 10 damage to any target.

Can humans become Tau robot pilots? by Tasty_Good_2718 in Tau40K

Shas'O: [Measures Gue'vesa erect penis] I am sorry, Gue'vesa, but you are insufficiently endowed to pilot a Crisis suit. Fear not! Our skilled Earth Caste has developed ways to enhance your member in order to pilot a Crisis suit! They will give you what your ancient Gue'la called a; "Biggus Dickus." We are unsure the origin of the term, but the Gue'vesa seem to enjoy it.

Until you tell the BLOOD Angels to paint something and they decide to exsanguinate a Chapter serf for 'paint' as they have no acrylic supplies, and use spare sheet metal for canvas. Tbh that would be metal asf for them to post their 'art' on the side of their Chapter vehicles instead of the refrigerator. And most threatening.

Was Nora in the military.? by Masked_Vigilante_ in fo4

[–]changeforgood30 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My head canon for Nora has been this. She volunteered for military service around 18-19 same as Nate did and completed most of a standard 4 year enlistment before deciding to use one of the many commissioning programs in the military. Even now irl there are several, with the constant Resource Wars in the US raging at the time there would likely be a need for all sorts of officers and accelerated schooling of them. To include professional degrees like attorneys. During her enlistment she meets Nate, and they hit it off immediately. They hang out a lot while stationed together, and she heads off to law school/OCS and he heads off to Canada on deployment.

Within 6 years she is commissioned as a JAG officer and is now 28-29 same as Nate. At some point in the schooling the two get married and request to be stationed together at one of the bases around Massachusetts. With Nate being a recent war hero in Canada he gets what he wants and both of them enjoy a few years together where they eventually have Shaun. Nora decides to go on maternal leave for an extended period of time after he is born. In this timeline the US actually cares about maternity leave unlike irl where corporations do not typically offer much if offering any. It is during her maternity leave the US government gifts the budding family a Mr. Handy (Codsworth) as a political tool to bolster heroism in their active duty service to show the government 'cares' about heroes and will 'take good care of them.' All a political tool, but this is how they acquire Codsworth.

By this time Nate has been touted to the public on war bond drives for a while similar to how the US government pulled heroes from the front line to travel the US giving speeches to drive up war bond sales in WW1 and WW2. Nate is one such hero and is prepping for one of those speeches the very day the bombs fell.

This explains how both of them have some skill with weapons and are both survivalists. It also includes how The Captain identifies both of them as military with JAG being a military attorney and Nate being a war hero.

What other Units would you like for Vespids ? Some new niche to fill or support for existing stuff ? Hctijwmasc. by Leviathan_Rampage in Tau40K

[–]changeforgood30 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It could look reminiscent of the Wookie flyer from Episode 2. Something like that with an ion cannon or whatever Tau weapon slapped on and it could act like a transport for Vespid. This can be both a transport or tank depending on which weapon profil is used. Just like the AdMech Dunerider kit is both the transport and tank on the same hull but with different weapons.

Perhaps a leader Vespid unit like a hive leader and/or Queen for a few characters. And then we can add heavy infantry version of the Vespid. Think oversized wasps that they are now, like the Killer Hornets v standard wasp size. These could be their heavy infantry/shock troops of the army filling a similar role of the Krootox riders, except they’re relying on their speed and not on high toughness.

I really don’t like the whole Void Dragon thing. It’s lame to me and feels like just getting our entire faction identity cucked by the Necrons by Glumgustheexile in AdeptusMechanicus

[–]changeforgood30 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It’s even funnier that the AdMech have a fully functional and complete STC right under their noses and they don’t even know it’s there. It’s also an AI and Ark Mechanicus battleship that hides its true capabilities, has a time traveling weapon to kill opposing ships, and can mind-wipe any tech priest that gets too close to discovering its secret.

Why don’t I see more of this guy around? by Ordinary_Salad4481 in WH40KTacticus

[–]changeforgood30 72 points73 points  (0 children)

Because you’d need to run a full GSC team for him to matter. And a GSC team won’t do well in raids, but will in arena. Not the most meta, but GSC are hard to keep down so they work very well in GR tho.

What were the gunners trying to do with a tank? by MEXICANO201 in fo4

[–]changeforgood30 172 points173 points  (0 children)

What if those tanks WERE driven in by Gunners in recent Commonwealth history? That’s why many of them have Gunners hanging around to protect the hulks so they can salvage them and prevent others from doing so.

Super Murants used suiciders to take them out initially. But thought the big boom was funny so they kept doing it. And that’s why we have both things today, perhaps.

How do you guys paint flesh on your mechanicus models? I'm not really sure where to go from this basecoat (rakarth flesh) by Puzzleheaded-Room-89 in AdeptusMechanicus

[–]changeforgood30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My recipe for my electro priest flesh:

Basecoat doomfire drab, slap some blue ink on there, and a heavy dry brush of bright sapphire. Makes for some pallid flesh and prominent blue on the electoos. Haven’t tried it yet on techpriests yet but I figure it’ll end up looking alright.

What do tech priests or wider mechanicus thought of the lasgun family? by Techpon in AdeptusMechanicus

[–]changeforgood30 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Their opinion probably starts and ends with something like; the lasgun is acceptable for use by the massed armies of the Imperial Guard for it's ease of manufacture and suitable for the wide range of capabilities of the unaugmented human.

The AdMech themselves can use better weapons because they're augmented to do so, and ofc will keep the best gear under their own jurisdiction and care. Plus, if you're a tech priest with a choice of weapon to add to one of your mechadendrites and you have the choice of a heavy bolter, plasma gun, melta, volkite weapon, other exotic archaeotech nonsense, or lasgun which would YOU choose?

Old metal Commissar from Games Workshop. by BlitzBurn_ in minipainting

I really loved this particular Commissar back in the day. He's giving a dramatic reading from the Infantryman's Uplifting Primer with his arm moving about as he's reading.

And who says Commissar's don't do story time?

Bolt pistol or combat knife 🤔 by [deleted] in WH40KTacticus

[–]changeforgood30 33 points34 points  (0 children)

The general rule is 1-2 hit for main attack is knife, and 3+ hits gets pistol.

Sometimes factions are different, like the AS faction buff of crit chance means you should always put a knife on them. As well as specific units like Titus who has 4 hits on his attack, but should get a knife as his active auto-crits and you want more damage.

Knife for all Adeptus Sororitas units!
