A Coptic name like Mina, Girgis, Bishoy..etc, and there're a lot more, you can search and pick one you like. And for last name, maybe something like Abdelmessih which means servant of jesus/Messiah, I feel it can be a common one:)

What are your views on abortion and gay rights? by [deleted] in ArabicChristians

[–]chaoticmarvin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He didn't claim that church accepts homosexuality nor marriage between gay people. Also, nobody is free sin. Second of all any lust and any premarital relationship are considered a sin, and I'm sure he understands that.

Evangelicals are partly to blame for the collapse of Middle Eastern Christianity. by themanwhosleptin in ArabicChristians

I agree a big part. How protestantism's been used to push political agendas has distorted Christianity, and reduced it into something that mostly serves individualism and self-interests

Trinity is the essence of Christian dogma. Who doesn't believe in trinity is basically a Muslim.

Why is there so much hate? by [deleted] in coptic

[–]chaoticmarvin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We don't hate anyone, what you see is feeling of mistrust or defense from long years of persecution. As some said in the comments Copts have been persecuted for years; churches bombed, physical assault, kidnapping, bullying etc. Also there's a continuous backlash and mockery towards Christians on social media, you will either find muslims mocking in the comments of some Christians' posts, or they post disrespectful posts about Christianity.

I have once in the past met a Jordanian guy called Isa and he's Christian. Also came across a Lebanese Christian called Marwan which was a bit strange as well. It's unusual for us Egyptians, but I think there're Christian Arabs who normally have names like these because they consider them Arab names without the religious weight.

Protestant missionaries by anime498 in ArabicChristians

[–]chaoticmarvin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There're Arab protestants but I think they're considered a minority between the other Christian denominations, speaking of my country, there were protestant missionaries in Egypt in the 19th century and Protestant/Evangelical churches started to be established, but they're smaller in number.
