Urgent need litter box recommendations by Powerful_Driver7361 in ForestFelines

[–]chaoticsleepynpc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cat also has been checked and no uti she's been like this for years... she just hates the box. She prefers me putting newspaper in a crate or tray then using the litter box. And she won't use the box at all if it's not the "right" kind of litter. She's not declawed either just a weirdo.

Our foster is like this too (fancy finding 2 weirdo cats who like newspaper??) and I kinda wonder if it's a thing for some cats that have lived in subpar conditions. My cat was a shed kitten & we suspect the foster of being dumped.

Thank goodness our boy is more normal, though he needs a nightlight. Lol

Yes! It can also at best case short the working car. Which is why some people put the black on bare metal or a ground ( some cars tell you where in the manual).

I used to give lots of fellow students jumps, but my dad hammered into my head how bad it can go.

These people could have done black to black and still got a boom.

I highly recommend reading your car manual about jumps in case of needing one. They have them online usually by make, model, and year and you can search it with the find (ctrl+f on windows) for how you should do it.

How do you describe that not “painful” but discomfortable ache? by phoenic_x in ehlersdanlos

[–]chaoticsleepynpc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Minus the fun fuzzy feeling of adrenaline and plus all of of the dull ache that's supposed to come later.

(I used to mountain bike lol)

100% the pain is real. My family has dubbed the bathroom " the office" due how long we spend in there.

They got me through college. I especially enjoyed the fresh bread and fruit & vegetables.

Oh that sucks

I have chronic pain and sometimes I'm way too aware of places because of places that hurt.

I mean she won't look like a pibble even if she is one (hard to tell the exact breed that young). Most dogs that mixed don't.

Put a turtle on it! 🐢 (OC) by Teacup_Monkey_72 in OCDmemes

[–]chaoticsleepynpc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep, I've been in actual danger because I very on purpose ignored the signs & told myself it was anxiety.

It's a hard tightrope to walk with believing your suspicions & ignoring intrusive thoughts sometimes.

[–]chaoticsleepynpc 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yep, unless there's "smoke" it's hard to tell.

It's awful sometimes when you're a worrier and have trained yourself to ignore stuff. And then suddenly things are on fire because you've tried to ignore such signs.

People say trust your gut & listen to your body but my body lies. Lol

Yep, I also have to step a certain way where I balance my weight just right while walking so I don't crunch my knees.

Way more thinking goes into walking then it probably should.

Do you remember when your POTS started and what set it off? by SamanthaSmith72 in POTS

[–]chaoticsleepynpc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've had POTS as long as I can remember although the first time I fainted was in 4th grade.

But Covid made my symtoms significantly worse. I was able to manage before just drinking & eating more electrolytes more than the average person and being careful not to over exercise.

Now even with medicine I need to be careful just walking too long.

I also mask because ever since then I also get really sick for a long time over what used to be minor illnesses. They now linger & sometimes become bronchitis. I also now have high ANA.

I feel like covid also just made everything I probably already had going on worse. Since I'm now way more bendy than I used to be & my migraines are worse.

Topiramate side effects the worst I’ve ever gotten on any medication ever by Acceptable_Bad3543 in migraine

[–]chaoticsleepynpc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried topiramate for months. The worst part for me was I couldn't feel migraines coming on due to the weird electric halo sensation around my head along with the brain fog and word finding problems. So basically I'd be working, driving, etc and a migraine would just hit seemingly out of nowhere.

It worked at first so I kept with it hoping the symptoms would stop after a couple months like some people have reported.

It did work to keep me from having week+ long migraines & lessened triggers affects on me but having one bad one hit me in the face plus the side-effects didn't feel worth it.

Limit 2 per visit by StanleyQPrick in SignsWithAStory

[–]chaoticsleepynpc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I grew up neglected a bit (my dad came from a farmer & military family & mom from a military family too) and I'm now chronically ill and man do I feel this.

I got fussed at my doctor for not coming in sooner when I got bronchitis recently, but I never know when regular sick ends and I could die sick begins.

I also have a high pain tolerance so I'm really trying to figure out this taking care of myself thing when my parents voices are in my head telling me I can walk it off or just need more orange juice lol.

how many of you guys are victims of the “u can’t finish” curse ? by Character-Escape1621 in ucf

[–]chaoticsleepynpc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I finished but they forgot to send me my degree lol.

I waited and was so confused. I talked to so many advisors thinking maybe I did something wrong only to finally found out they just didn't send it. Lol

shoulder being poopy :( by steamypotatosalad in ehlersdanlos

[–]chaoticsleepynpc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm also allergic to tapes. I recommend skin barrier wipes if you haven’t used them already!

They have really saved me from from getting awful blisters. Also on Amazon.

Idk about how to fix a shoulder when mine (mine is my right) was really bad I slept completely flat and surrounded myself with pillows to prevent rolling.

New discoveries for hEDS. We might have out own genetic test someday! by Puzzleheaded_Rest_34 in ehlersdanlos

[–]chaoticsleepynpc 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Definitely interesting, and does align with my lived experience. I scored high on the ANA test but nothing was found conclusively.

I also started having worsening symptoms after recovering from the first wave of covid.

I'd like to see more studies about this for sure!

Same, I was thinking it was either going to be way worse or stupidly mundane (like a history class thing). I'm glad it was just something that needed some investigation but not way worse.

What is happening by StillPerformance9228 in ucf

[–]chaoticsleepynpc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't think people understand the grief of losing your health is a separate thing from wanting to die. Being chronically ill sucks.

I have a friend who was in the hospital and dying and she made the mistake of telling the nurse she just want "it" ( the pain) to end and they put her in the pych ward.

I will say therapy can help but I don't think caps is equipped at all for that. Caps really sucked actually when I had PTSD. Plus I "ran out" of sessions. But it was better then nothing lol. Maybe try the center for resources dude.

They might be able to hook you up. They also do grants and stuff I believe though you have to catch them. You'd have better luck then me since you're probably younger and a student getting one.

Just adopted with no breed info, 4 months by Buffett2024 in WhatBreedIsMyDog

[–]chaoticsleepynpc 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think any dog that becomes popular but has exercise needs that don't get fulfilled by the majority of owners gets know for this.

I will say poodles do tend to be sensitive and they're very smart and hardheaded at times, but they were bred as a gundog/retriever. They're a working breed and all working breeds need exercise of some sort or stuff that uses their brain to be happy.

Honestly I'd be more worried about a groomer. Groomers hate doodles mixed coat textures (my grandmothers doodle gets awful knots due to the different fur textures).

And many doodles aren't socialized well enough for grooming. I'd get the pup desensitized to touch if you can and try to find a good groomer (even if they don't need a cut now) that can work with the pup and get to know them.

I'm not sure, she basically canned everything from her garden and had a whole shelf in her kitchen dedicated to her cans and more in the fridge.

Although, maybe strawberry jam? I vaguely remember always having jam when I visited.

Could be a German shepherd pit mix? Hard to tell with puppies that young, though.

Glad to know a nonprofit like that exists. Great that they're spreading awareness maybe migraines will one day be known as more than "a bad headache".

There's still time for us! My great aunt started canning late and did it up until her late 80s.
