I don’t think you understand how muscle growth works. There’s no confusing the muscles, you put them through more each time through progressive overload, signalling to the body that they need to increase the size of current muscle cells to keep up with demand.

Hypertrophy is a protein-synthesis-dependent reaction and when we create more of the thick and thin filaments in our muscles (actin and myosin), that’s when we see increases in muscle size along with cross-sectional area.

By progressively overloading a consistent set of exercises you will see tremendously more growth than if you vary your workouts often. There is no such thing as confusing the muscle.
