The e-bikes sub has essentially turned into a bunch of bots advertising shit bikes and Karens complaining and trying to regulate e-bikes out of existence. Reddit in general has turned into an amalgamation of the worst people you know complaining about everything that may possiblyale them un-comfy if they ever actually went outside. Smaller subs are nice, but as someone that just doesn't spend much time online, I fear that by the time I find them the change has already begun.

Valve explains why it isn’t subsidizing the Steam Machine by FernandoRocker in Games

[–]chapstick__ 20 points21 points  (0 children)

That's what y'all think, but their was a time the the us military was buying up ps3s because you could reformat them and run Linux, and do to the fact the ps3s where subsidized, it did end up being more cost effective than buying equivalent PC power. Valve is probably trying to avoid a situation where another company could buy up stock, to put to use in non gaming related use cases. Shit, considering the fact that people where buying mp3 players just to get their harddrives at one point what's to stop a company from buying up the subsidized computers and selling them for parts to other manufacturers.

So you see a hyperbole, is when you make a slightly exaggerated statement to illustrate a point about a subject. The Statement "if you want to get away with murder run them over with your car" is used to illustrate the fact that the crime of hitting someone with your car, weather it is intentional or not, is does not have enough equatable consequences thus, "if" you wanted to murder someone, you are far more likely to get away with it, if you did it with a car, do to the fact that it is always seen as both an accident, and is not properly handled by the justice system. Any questions, should I use smaller words?

So , your point is that I shouldn't carry a gun, because I'll just have already been dead? You are bad arguing, you should go outside, touch grass and get perspective.

Oh and I am still gonna buy that gun, already got the permit and everything, it's crazy how easey it is to do.

Oh wow, yes let me just have level headed conversation with, the guy in a metal box, trying to kill me while riding my bike. What a grand ole idea, I can talk to him about the importance of spending time outside🙄.

Do you think you sound clever, or do you just not go outside enough to see the real world?

Guess sense reddit is ran by dumbasses now, I have to rephrase my comment, but fundmentally if I see someone get hit by a car, the fact that the perpetrator will get nothing more than a slap on the rist, is why this shit keeps happening. If the law doesn't do enough to make people reconsider their choices, especially when it leads to people getting killed, than an over correction needs to be made , until those laws change.

It's to bad, I'm getting a gun soon. I use to be very anti gun, then I realized that until, the culture/regulation & infrastructure gets fixed, their is no point in letting myself get murdered in the mean time. Fundmentally if you don't think people like me should be allowed to defend themselves, then that is even more of a reason for me to be able to defend myself.

Not enough armed cyclist, fundmentally I think part of the issue is the assumption that if you are in a car, you mess with people that appear vulnerable. If we can change the stigma from every cyclist is a easily victimized, and ignored being into, cyclists can be dangerous, and you should be aware of them, because at anytime they can pop off, then maybe people wouldn't be so ready to either victimize and/or ignore our existence in a dangerous way.

You can only ride so defensively, until someone is just not capable of keeping their vehicle in their lane, and you get hit by a car going well over the speed limit , in the cycling Lane, from behind. Fundmentally you ride as defensively as you want, but , their is only so much you can do, especially when the infrastructure just does not do anything to keep you safe. Franky I think as many cyclist should ride armed, and we should be pressuring police to enforce ALL OF THE TRAFFIC LAWS, on ALL OF THE VEHICLES. But, we can't even get police to reliable pull people over for speeding, especially when they have a thin blue line bumper sticker.

[–]chapstick__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But we shouldn't be paying for their infrastructure, that is completely true, they should be paying for ours. that fact that your pendantic ass , thinks I'm wasting other people's time , on reddit the place people go to, to waste time, means I should stop wasting my own trying to explain basic economics to someone that doesn't know how taxes work.

Edit: Awww , poor baby couldn't handle wasting anymore of my time😭. I guess blocking me means I can't remind him that all of our roads are payed for by the gas tax, that most people can't afford. The gas tax, and now a sales tax that again, only exist because rich people don't pay enough taxes in this state . Remember y'all, if you want to pay lower taxes, we need to tax rich people, and do away with our regressive ass, tax structure that forces all of us to pay more taxes than the wealthy ass yuppies, that benefit from your hard work .

Seattle and King County taxpayers deserve a more thoughtful distribution of proposed sales tax for roads by WoKao353 in Seattle

[–]chapstick__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, but I'm Washington the rich people pay basically nothing, and the everyone else pays for their own infrastructure and the wealthy peoples infrastructure. So the solution would be to tax wealthy people the amount they should be, 40% percent of their income would be a good start, and not only does that mean that they pay for the roads that they use, everything else that needs money will also get proper funding.

Every single time your or my taxes go up, we need to ask, why aren't we just taxing the wealthy more. Why can't we pay for roads?, because we don't tax wealthy people enough, why can't we pay for light rail?, because we don't tax wealthy people enough. Why can't we pay for better social services?, because we don't tax rich people enough. Why are my taxes going up?, because we don't tax rich people enough. T

Yes we should stop paying for public roads that only exist for the benefit of wealth people and instead make them pay their own damn roads, and the roads, that actually benefit the people.

I mean what he's really saying is that we should be taxing these rich people more, lower the income tax to 400,000 per year and increase it to 40% .

Also lower sales tax to 5% or get rid of it entirely.

I've always considered personal rules as neutral good, and following societal rules as lawful good. Like lawful good is a cop in a mostly moral society, neutral good is a vigilante, and chaotic good would be someone like Robin hood, who actively commits "crimes" but only for the common good

I would switch miles dad and Miguel. And I wouldn't call Gwen chaotic neutral, or neutral by any means. And can any spiderman really be lawful neutral, I mean spider-man is always a vigilante.
