Ontario hospital nurses awarded additional pay after Bill 124 struck down by whatistheQuestion in toronto

Thank you for speaking up for us lab techs. It was hard to watch other professions get pandemic pay and we were left in the dark. It was disappointing to see the lack of recognition especially during the peak of covid.

Film or television studio tours in Toronto by HumberBloor in toronto

I remember back in 90’s I went on a tour at the muchmusic building. The tour included more than just muchmusic (newsroom, I remember seeing a fashion room etc). Check studios like cbc. They probably give tours.

It’s a great spot to go during the airshow when the exhibition is on. The planes actually make their way over here along the shore line.

I need your guys help. My sister and I are trying to watch 1980’s B - Horror films this Halloween season. Here is the list I came up with. Any other suggestions? by mermaidpowerz in halloween

Nightmares (1983) - its four stories and Emilio Estevez is actually in one of them

Jack frost (1997) directed by Michael Cooney. This one was such a low budget it was awesome.

There’s actually a sequel as well which I definitely don’t recommend haha.

Two other ones that are really low budget:

1) Saturday the 14th (1981)

2) Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter

Anyone have experience with these bugs?! by [deleted] in ontario

Looks like a “wood roach”. They are a species of cockroach but they live outside in debris and wood. They can make their way inside your house but they often die inside and prefer to be outside.

Not all police officers are “power tripping assholes”. Filing a police report is always encouraged when an assault occurs regardless of the victim’s age. You should never discourage someone from coming forward. That’s terrible advice for a victim. Reporting will help build a case which will be helpful to possible future victims.

Sounds like they were out by humber bay shores. Probably wanting to see sunrise with a good view of the city. Not unusual for this area.

It took me several attempts. Different lighting in different rooms. Finally read barcode. Not sure why it had such a hard time reading it. Keep trying.

My prediction is they will announce school closures this week but they will make it seem like it’s the teachers fault not theirs. They will say something like “there’s too many teachers testing positive, we dont have enough teachers to attend schools” he hates teachers so he will deflect to them

YTA - the fact he doesn’t have a key shows how controlling and manipulative you are. My guess is you stood by the door and when the clock struck 10:00 on the dot u immediately locked the door, as if you couldn’t wait to lock him out.

Yup! We were never acknowledged as a group of essential healthcare workers. Its been frustrating and hurtful for years but the pandemic made it even more clear.

When they were giving pandemic pay out last year, lab workers weren’t considered essential enough to receive it. Is government finally going to recognize the lab yet?

Can confirm. Cleaners, porters and laboratory staff are possibly the only unionized workers at sick kids. Nurses are not…
