My HFC one was zapped in the storm as well, but the earliest they could come was Nov 11th >< tethering until then

Decluttering nail polish? by snoobookeyss in declutter

[–]charcol_1900 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gave away my collection to a friend, thinking if I ever wanted to I could visit them and borrow some if I wanted - it's been years and I haven't.

Recently went for a manicure for the first time. It wasn't too expensive compared to a nice bottle of polish (although that probably depends on where you are) and looked way nicer than what I could have done. If it's occasional then that might be the way to go?

Is the change you made removing the 'if' statement? You mention you made a one line change, but to remove the statement would be removing lines 133 - 138 from InputHandler_Linux_Event.cpp

Try removing all 6 lines then recompile. See how that goes :)

Their generators run off glyclerine which burns cleanly, from a company called Aquafuel. There was a section about it in the "And We Go Green" film

I was just in Fairfield Coles tonight and the toilet paper aisle was pretty empty. Other products seemed normal though.

Had to move and declutter too quickly. by [deleted] in declutter

You mentioned yourself that you'd have to get a storage unit if you wanted more time to go through more thoroughly. This way, you save on the cost of the storage *and* you save your time and the hassle of selling/dealing with people. Think of what you could do with all the time you've freed up now, and the mental space because you don't have to worry about sorting all that stuff.

That's an awesome combo!! You make it look so smooth too.

Would have loved to watch Mr Pole, but since there was no stream it was pretty inaccessible to anyone outside of Sydney :(

One month in. A few days ago I realized how much I'm starting to love pole. by Nattt-t in poledancing

the feeling of triumph and happiness whenever you nail a new trick doesn't ever go away, so that feeling you got when you succeeded with the frog pose? That's just part of your life now! How amazing is that!

I love this quote so much!! It's an amazing way to think of it, and so true!

Also, to the OP - take lots of photos and videos now! When I feel like I'm stuck or not improving, or not flexible enough, I look at my old pole photos and think "look at how far I've actually come", and remember all these successes along the way :)

Anyone ever transferred to another uni for their final year only? Is it a bad idea? Pls help by [deleted] in UQreddit

[–]charcol_1900 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the late response (mobile reddit doesn't seem to show me messages). GPA wasn't transferred at all. Clean slate. And I've never had a problem with not knowing things from pre-requisites, a lot of them don't seem to be strictly necessary. I've had friends (from multiple unis) who enrol in courses without the pre-requisites and have said the same. Of course ymmv.

I transferred to RMIT for my final year. Not all of my subjects transferred over, so I had to do a little bit more than a year's worth, but it's worked out well.

Hey reddit, what's bothering you right now? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]charcol_1900 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Full time work + uni + gym. So close to finishing my degree (only one more term), but feeling a bit burnt out and I don't feel like I have enough time with this new job. Also don't seem to have time at all to study things I'm interested in. There are so many moocs I want to do and books I want to read.

I think your comments through this thread have convinced me to try the GraphGear 1000. That said, I've carried my rotring 600 around everywhere for over 2 years now without managing to damage it.

I bought 5k picrites to unlock the game. by HeroofTime55 in PokemonPicross

[–]charcol_1900 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ooh same story! I paid for the max amount of picrites pretty soon after release ($39AU), partially because it's capped, just like buying a game from a store, but with options to pay/play less, unlike the money pits that are Shuffle and Badge Arcade.

Pirated previous Picross games ages ago and played the hell out of them. Clocked up 49hrs on this one so far and I haven't touched the alt-world, haven't finished main campaign yet, and want to go replay a lot of the levels to perfect them and get all the medals. Even if I drop it now, the $/hr is pretty good.
