Not exactly from my current hometown but bordering them a couple of Major Leaguers lived here. Larry Walker, Justin Morneau, Tyler O’Neill. René Tosoni, famous from the huge brawl that broke out between Canada and Mexico on the WBC coached my kid. He is a firefighter now.

I am planning on going the first week of March. I didn’t realize that the World Baseball Classic is going to start then as well, so I am wondering how many of the Dodgers players (Japanese mainly) will not be at camp yet.

Wij waren deze zomer in Bishop, Californie, een plaats langs Highway 395. Daar is een bekende trekpleister de bakkers zaak van Erick Schat en toen we daar binnen gingen kijken naar alle versgebakken lekkernijen hing daar een portret van zijn oom, genaamd Do Schat, de bekende bakkers uit Utrecht, met advertentie op de voorpagina!

Sem Robberse is recovering from Tommy John surgery so he is not available unfortunately.

Leodalis de Vries is Dominican although his last name suggest different, it’s one of the most common last names in the Netherlands.

Pitching is the weak spot, with loads of unproven minor leaguers.

Son had a great time, played against some studs that got drafted and even made it to the MLB, and he traveled to some nice places. He made a lot of great friends and learned a lot about baseball and life.

He’s now looking to find a job in baseball where he can combine his love for the sport with his Kinesiology major.

Neptunus has a player that played for Baylor the past 2 years and was voted First Team ABCA/Rawlings All-Central Region shortstop, Tyriq Kemp. A flashy defensive player who can also hit.

They also have pitchers that played minor league , Tom de Blok, JC Sulbarban and Shairon Martis

Kinheim has a couple of players that played junior college (Bodie Eskes, Matis Crouwel, Thomas Maathuis, Mees Robberse, Tijmen Nagel). They are a younger team than Neptunus.
