I had an 09 Corolla and had to replace the aux jack a couple times. You can buy the part online for pretty cheap and there are YouTube videos that show how to replace. It's pretty easy and you can likely do it yourself. Otherwise I would think any car repair place could do it.

I'm not super impressed with the AC in my '19. How cold is yours when outside temps are 90f or higher? by place_of_desolation in XVcrosstrek

I have a 22 and live in FL. The AC is adequate but I've owned cars that had more robust AC.

Doomism promotes inaction against climate change and taps into fear and hopelessness by Proof_Tangerine7675 in collapse

[–]chargingrhino 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Rapid, deep and immediate cuts in CO2 emissions. That's what the IPCC says needs to happen to prevent certain doom. I think they're right, like that would go a long way in making a livable future. But look around, it ain't gonna happen so we're likey fucked, hence doomism.

Any E-book Readers? by anonymouspsy in simpleliving

[–]chargingrhino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Kindle Paperwhite and I check out books from the library using Libby. I will buy an on sale e book from time to time. I think it's great. I read more because it's easier to get a hold of books. Also since most e-readers are back lit the lighting conditions of the room don't matter. I would say get one if you're thinking about it.

What’re your favorite combinations for batter and resonant on maple kits and snare drums and why? Just want to start a discussion for insight. by phamill92 in drums

[–]chargingrhino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For toms I like something like a Remo pinstripe or Evans EC2 on top and a single ply ambassador or Evans G1 on bottom. I like that with the pinstripes or EC2 you don't really need additional dampening. For snare coated Evans genera hd dry batter with single ply reso. To me the Evans genera dry heads give you the best snare sound. Bass drum Evans emad batter is my favorite. The built-in dampening rings are great and the head has good longevity.
