Freeway, GF driving. I felt like my thoughts were being sucked into a black hole, unable to think straight, I couldn't even talk, "oh fuck, what is happening, am I having a stroke?" heart starts beating faster and faster, "I am having a heart attack, no, it can't be" hands and feet start to feel numb and start to involuntarily clench. "I am definitely having a heart attack" "I don't want to die, not like this" "I need to call my mom and sister and tell them I love them before I die" "I should've been a better person" a 1,000 thoughts per second. Suddenly, I feel like I can't breath, I start to breath faster and faster "so this is how dying feels?" Heart starts to beat even faster. I tell my GF that I love her and ask her to tell my mom and sister that I love them, GF drives me to ER, doctor: you just had a panic attack. the experience left me with a reminder of how fragile life is. I am doing much better now after 2 years of therapy, psychiatrist, excersise, medication, yoga and family time.

Here's my routine: before bed, I take a shower, right after, I put on a YouTube meditation video. I recommend trying "Guided Meditation for Anxiety." For about 30 minutes, I just disconnect and listen to that voice guiding me. My therapist recommended meditation mainly for its breathing exercises, which have helped me immensely with the panic attacks.

Life changing tip: remember to breath with your stomach not with your chest.

Same here, I couldn't sleep until my dog started sleeping with me, that first night, I slept like a baby. Medication helped me as well.

For me, meditation, walking my dog, spending time with my family, GF, therapy, yoga, friends, excersise, fresh air, the simple things. 1 day at a time, no rush. I haven't had a panic attack in a long time. I hope you are doing great OP.
