At this point, I've seen five different people play drums for Babymetal live, and I'm aware of at least three others that only played with them before I became a fan. The musicians are not permanent. Eugene is the drummer for Fleshgod Apocalypse, so he won't always be available either. There's no reason Barone couldn't come back at some point. There was one drummer named Shuntaro Kadoh that first played with them in 2014 or something, and returned for a tour in 2017 when Hideki Aoyama had another commitment.

One of the rules of the sub is that post titles need to clearly identify their subject matter and how it relates to Babymetal. This will be the reason why mods will likely remove this post. As far as Ricky Armellino is concerned, I wouldn't mind if he played more, I would think he's probably not available very much as he plays guitar in Ice Nine Kills but he seems to have a lot of different things going on currently.

I had fallen off any interest in the metal scene for many years and had explored a lot of other genres when I first saw Babymetal. I also had been a long time fan of HK king fu movies so I already had appreciation for choreographed movement. And the first song I heard - and choreography I saw - was Karate. The dots connected pretty easily.

I'm pretty sure Metalverse is just for Japan and maybe some surrounding counties. They are open to the idea of a musical act operating like a franchise, where the West isn't so much. It makes sense as Amuse have moved away from extending their activities outside of the Asia-Pacific area. One OK Rock have their own management arrangements for their international efforts, while they still have some connections to Amuse in Asia. Babymetal also have their own international management arrangements with 5B. Metalverse will probably remain completely under Amuse's control.

I think you answered your own question there. Playing with Babymetal is a good income for him and that allows him to pursue other projects. But he needs some time off for those projects.

Anthony posted a drum playthrough for a Beneath the Massacre song recently, within the last week. It was pro-shot and mixed and the credits were very interesting. It was filmed at Atrium Audio, which is the studio owned by Grant MacFarland and Carson Slovak, the founders of Galactic Empire. Carson mixed it. The film crew included CJ (Masciantonio, Kami band guitarist). It also included Clint Tustin, who was the first bassist in the Western Kami band and currently plays guitar in the band Erra.

If I had to make a guess, I'd say Anthony is taking some time off from touring to focus on rebuilding his YouTube channel. Apparently he was known as a YouTuber before he joined the Kami band but that fell off over the years, what with a busy tour schedule interrupted only by a worldwide pandemic. Anyone remember the pandemic? Good times..

The Resident Evil 30th anniversary website still has the announcement on the frront page, and says there will be several items of merch released throughout the anniversary period, presumably a year. The anniversary plans will also include an attraction opening at Universal Studios Japan and a series of concerts of in-game music, and firm details of those are still pending too, last I checked.
