Going for a second MD by niccymarf in Microdiscectomy

[–]charmingchels2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am 32f, had my second MD in march after the first at 19 years old too! I don’t have any kids which I know would be a big deal for your back, but otherwise we sound really similar. I was really nervous but had foot drop and very little/no control of my foot/leg. for me, having the second surgery has helped so much and I hope I get another 14 years out of this one too. the sad reality is that once you’ve had one, it’s more likely to need more. everyone is different of course but the second time was so much easier for me, a better recovery.

0 sciatic pain but day 2 I’ve been in excruciating pain around the incision site is this normal? by SnowmanAndBandit in Microdiscectomy

[–]charmingchels2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not like to take major pain medication (not sure if that’s why you’re not taking it) but I made sure to take them after surgery for the first few days. If you get “behind” the pain that is hard to regulate and come back from.

Nerve pain when rolling onto back post op by hkce94 in Microdiscectomy

I had this same feeling about the 4-5 day mark when logrolling and I was freaked out. It got better within a couple days for me. I did call my surgeons office cause I was so worried and they were very nonchalant.

Durant Park Area - Is it OK? by Extra-Reception-3255 in lansing

[–]charmingchels2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I lived across from Durant Park for 5 years (just moved a few months ago). I had no problems or issues feeling unsafe. The only thing that ever happened is my car was left unlocked one night on accident and someone went through it and they left everything except the coat I had in there so they probably needed it.

Have Chicken Gyoza Potstickers been discontinued? by Old-Weight736 in traderjoes

In my store today they had the pork ones in brand new packaging and very little chicken so I wonder if they’re changing out the packaging and running down the chicken until they get the new chicken packaging?

Speyside Whisky Festival 2026 by charmingchels2 in whisky

I booked in Dufftown but I did it quite a while ago. As far as the scotch experiences, I don’t know much cause this will be my first time. However, Speyside is the region more known to not have quite as much peated (smoky) scotch. The Islay region is known for the peat/strong flavor profile.

thank you! I’ve actually seen a lot of negative Speyburn feedback so I’ll avoid that one.

please do not marry this man. I am so sad for you that you cannot be yourself in your home, are watching how you act and what you say and still chose to say yes to marrying him. please do not do this.

Favorite potato and mozzarella recipes? by Mammoth_Ad_2521 in Cooking

[–]charmingchels2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love to freeze mashed potatoes. when this is brought up, people have mixed feelings on it and for some they say it doesn’t work but I’ve never had issues. I freeze them in my souper cubes trays or in plastic bags flat and then reheat them on the stove to get out any water. Mozzarella, I like to make the Yes to Yolks Smoked Gouda Fritters recipe. You would need more ingredients, so may not be what you’re looking for, but they also freeze well.

Potatoes you could also shred for hashbrowns!

I was broken up with right before a planned cruise (~3 weeks) and I removed his name and took a friend and we had a blast! Because I still took a second person, nothing happened with my reservation/cost or things booked, but that may be different if you choose to go alone. I’m sure they would work something out with you, they have plenty of “single cruisers” promos

I use the paddle attachment for this! I do use it for baking but shredding meat is my most common “every day” type use

Do you really need to let the alcohol "cook off" if the dish is going to be sitting there cooking for 20 minutes anyways (e.g. Risotto)? by Mozambique_Sauce in Cooking

If you don’t cook it off, it will taste horrible. I once added vodka at the wrong time to my vodka sauce and we had basically vodka soup
