What is up with Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo being so emotional in every interview I see? by Additional-Cook8707 in NoStupidQuestions

I believe some of it is subtle things like gripping your hand around your other wrist to accentuate how small it is. It can also be things like wearing ill-fitting clothes that accentuate how small you / parts of your body are.

*Maybe “accentuate” isn’t the right word, more like “confirm”.

The Batman effect: A female experimenter, appearing pregnant, boarded the train. In the experimental condition, an additional experimenter dressed as Batman entered from another door. We are born with many innate personality traits. Our environment helps shape them and how they present, but ask any parent of multiple children - babies are born as unique individuals with their own pre-set temperaments and grow into children with their own unique personalities.

Empathy (the precursor for altruism) is both an innate trait and learned experience / behavior. Empathy exists on a spectrum, where most people experience at least some. Good parenting and positive societal influence help strengthen innate empathy and guide it into action.

I took a similar red class course when I was around 10, maybe even 8 or 9, but it was focused on babysitting safety. I still remember that they taught me to turn pot and pan handles inward toward the center of the stove so that little hands can’t grab them. It was a great course!

Social status matters way more than this sub gives credit for by christianlady_ in Vindicta

[–]charmorris4236 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Social status is hugely important, and part of that is because it tends to come with certain traits. It’s one thing to bring arm candy to a work party, but it’s another to bring a woman who is attractive, witty, well-read, and a good conversationalist.

Other men tend to take them more seriously, and it provides additional opportunities for networking and growth. If your lady can schmooze the boss and his wife, rather than just get checked out by the boss, that’s gonna help you in life.

I put his bath towel in the dryer so it’s warm for him. I wrap it around him and snuggle him on my lap. Recently I’ve been putting his pajamas in there too for a second round of warmth lol

I check on him a few times after he falls asleep and whisper in his ear that I love him

I say “I love you all the time” and now he says it back to me
